-Holy Cow, how good was the final X FACTOR episode? Loved every minute. Everyone’s performances, with the pressure off, were great. Leona Lewis, Pit Bull, Neo, 50 cent (aka fitty) so good. Drew and Bieber was cute but a little awkward. Loved the Crying sequence and the Simon vs. LA sequence. While my guy, Josh, didn’t win, all 3 finalists and probably some of the final 12 will all do just fine and hopefully we will hear their music soon.
-I couldn’t end the year without a NETFLIX article. One of the things I do during this time of the year is work on my budgets, both at home and at work. I already cutback my NETFLIX subscription when they made the sweeping changes we all freaked out about, but since I just watched all of HOMELAND on my IPAD, do I need NETFLIX at all? I don’t think so and apparently a lot of people feel the same way as I do. Citigroup conducted a survey that found 57% of NETFLIX subscribers are satisfied and while that is still a great number consider the fact that it is down from 83%. Also, Reed Hastings, NETFLIX CEO has gone from a 50% favorability rate to 18%...Interestingly though, they also asked current and former NETFLIX subscribers which websites they have used to watch TV or movies and 27% answered NETFLIX which is actually up from 20% in May. Maybe they just don’t know all their options?
-Since I love all things Jimmy Fallon and I am exhausted, I thought I would leave you with this hilarious Jimmy Holiday sketch.
The final 2011 Trivia Question: What was the original name of this email before it was called WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH?
This has been a really amazing year for me. I started this daily email last January as a way to provide my senior management with some TV facts. As of today, I have 344 readers. Thanks to all of you for reading, and providing so much feedback and fun for me every day. I love writing this thing and hope it gets better and better every day.
I wish you all the healthiest and happiest of holidays. Let’s all meet back here in 2012!
WWTM-Kristy
