THE SHOWS

Running Wild with Bear Grylls (and Ben Stiller)
Okay, I need to know the deal with this show. Ben and Bear seemed to have never met before. Bear didn't do much research on Ben. He had no idea who his parents were or anything.  He didn't know that Ben grew up in NYC and had NEVER camped, repelled, dumared (sp???) or tied anything other than his shoes and yet, he took him to the mountains of Scotland for this adventure. It was cold and rainy and Bear had Ben hanging out of a helicopter, hiking on treacherous terrain where Special Forces and Marines train, repelling, eating limpets and jumping off cliffs. Ben was obviously out of his element. He was the total opposite of Zac Efron. He seemed miserable and terrified. I have to assume that Bear had plotted out the trek prior to Ben's arrival and yet, he acted like the cave he found had never seen before. If that was the case why was he so quick to just go right into it? Someone had to check it out first right?   Bear didn't seem to appreciate Ben's sense of humor at all. Ben looked like he was going to die and really wanted nothing more than to get the hell outta Scotland. While I of course LOVED Zac Efron, it was pretty funny seeing Ben Stiller get through 48 hours of Bear Grylls torture.

The Fosters
I've been secretly bingeing on The Fosters for a few weeks now. I'm finally caught up and watched my first real-time episode last night. I'm obsessed with Lena and Steph and their ability to stay cool, never freak and never yell at anyone.  They never seem shocked at anything life or the kids throws at them. Of course I know this is TV and they aren't real people, but if there are parents somewhere out there that don't raise their voices when they find out that their 16 year old son slept with his father's girlfriend, I want to know them, interview them and find out how that's even possible. Lena and Steph never worry about money either. They have 5 kids and no plan on how they're going to send any of them to college on a vice principal and police officer's salary. They are great communicators and never shy away from ANY topic with each other, or the kids. Maybe the key is for all of us to have a television writer in our families to tell us exactly what to say and how to say it no matter what the situation is.
THE OTHER STUFF

Okay Big Bangers...the big 3 have officially signed on the dotted line and each of them will be getting 1MM per episode. Plus some additional "bonuses" (making 1MM a week isn't enough?) Their 3 year deal is worth 90 milllllllion dollars EACH!!!! Crazzzzzy

Tuesday's Trivia Question: Name the character that both Kristy Swanson and Sarah Michelle Gellar both portrayed.
