THE SHOWS

My son's been away most of the Summer, he finally came home last night so after unpacking him, feeding him and hearing allllll about his trip, he needed to watch last weeks episode of Suits and I needed to go to bed. There wasn't much on anyway.

THE OTHER STUFF

I wish I could congratulate Jill Kargman personally on Odd Mom Out's Season 2 renewal. I'd take her to lunch at Yefsi or Brunch at Barking Dog, anywhere she'd want to go actually, I think we'd have a great time together. Special shout out to Frances Berwick for putting my mind at ease and not making me wait forever to find out one of my favorite new shows fates. Now Jill can enjoy the Hamptons, and I can enjoy LBI. We can both toast to another season. Cheers, Jill!

-RIP Captain Tony. I sure hope the Cornelia Marie isn't cursed or something. Tony Lara took over the boat on Deadliest Catch after Phil Harris passed away. Now Tony passed away at the Sturgis Motorcycle rally in South Dakota. Josh Harris has been running things for a couple of seasons and I'm his dad is looking out for him so the curse can be broken.

The only other TV news yesterday was that James Corden (also someone I would LOVE to have lunch with, actually, I'd rather take a drive with him and sing the entire time) will be the first late night talk show host to film a show from the YouTube's space in LA. Of course his guests that night (8/21) are all YouTube celebs that I don't follow, but I'll watch and maybe someone will win me over.

-Got some great submissions for my MISSING EMMY COMEDY NOMINATIONS have been coming in. This week we're still focusing on the Best Actor and Actress in a Comedies and Dramas.  For anyone who hasn't been reading, or who's just back from vacation, here's the scoop:

I wanted to put my own spin on The Emmy's this year. I'm planning on resurrecting my Emmy Pool, but I wanted to do something different too.  Here's the deal: Submit the names of an actor that in your opinion deserved an Emmy Nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy but didn't get one. I'm going to take all your submissions and have you guys vote on a winner . Of course I'll need some participation here. If I don't get enough entries, I'll bag the idea completely. Here are this years Emmy nominated Actors for reference:

Anthony Anderson - Black-ish
Louis CK-Louis
Don Cheadle-House of Lies
Will Forte-Last Man on Earth
Matt LeBlanc-Episodes
William H. Macy-Shameless
Jeffrey Tambor-Transparent

Tuesday's Trivia Question:
