Sure it was fun to see Fitz and Olivia rolling around the Presidential bedroom, but they should know better than anybody that these days it's IMPOSSIBLE to keep anything a secret, especially an affair, especially in the White House. There are cameras EVERYwhere. Olivia was pissing me off a bit. When she and the Prez are apart, Fitz drinks too much and sucks at his job. When they are together, Fitz drinks too much but he's much better at his job. Either way, she's always telling him that he sucks at his job. She's always b*tching at him to be the man and the President he was destined to be. Maybe Fitz wrote the new Justin Bieber song "What Do You Mean" seems like it was meant for her and not Selena Gomez. While Fitz and Olivia are figuring out their relationship, the Royal family of Caledonia was in town for a state dinner and a Naval Base negotiation. Abby and Olivia ran into the Princess in the toilet. AWKWARD. 5 minutes later, the Princess was dead a la Diana style and the Queen hired Olivia to handle things. Olivia only has one gladiator left, Quinn, but they have the sticky window and of course they figured out pretty quickly that the Princess was murdered. They thought it was the Prince who found out about the Princess's affair with her bodyguard, but then the Queen admitted that she was responsible and she was using the political asylum loophole. All Olivia could do was channel her inner Disney and give us a great "Evil Queen" line. Over on the fun character front. Huck's not back to "normal" yet and since Olivia's too busy shtupping the President, he turned to Jake. Mellie needed help too and since her husband's too busy with work and shtupping Olivia in the White House, she turned to Cyrus. Fun times ahead for everyone. Looks like next week the country finds out the President's a cheater.
Modern Family
I promised myself I was going to delete my Modern Family Season Pass, but honestly, I just never got around to it. I checked out the Season premiere JUST to make sure things hadn't gotten any better over the Summer. They didn't. Only Claire's cleavage and Dylan's "V" neck shirts sporting oy Vey, eVolve and liVe got my attention. Season Pass…DELETED
Black-ish
When Jack performed the Kanye West classic, "Gold digger" for the school talent show all hell broke loose. The result: A realllly well written, intelligent episode on the "N" word. Hilarious, thought provoking and honest. In addition…Lionel Richie Jr. was into the environment and saving water, Zoe came back from Summer vacation looking more breathtakingly beautiful than ever and Bo came directly from the Emmy Red Carpet where she crashed and burned and kept the hideous momentum going with her Tommy Hilfiger/Great Grandma Sylvia pleated skirt. I don't recall Bo's fashion being a problem last season. Hair/eye/lack of acting ability trombo…sure, but now we have a fashion problem too?
THE OTHER STUFF
-Maybe on the calendar, Sunday is the start of the week or, for those of us in the broadcast world, Monday is the start of the week, but for football fans, Thursday is the start of the week.
