Empire, The Goldbergs, The Chrisley's, Apres Ski and the Best Tribal Council in years!

First and foremost I want to say thank you to my friend Andrew. I know I must have sounded like a lunatic when I called him begging for his help yesterday. He's not a blogger but he's known me for quite some time and without QUESTION he told me he would help me and obviously he did. He's the BEST! Second...thank YOU GUYS! What an overwhelming amount of love and support. About a month ago I was actually thinking that maybe I needed to stop blogging or post less. I haven't been getting to the gym as much as I should, I need to check homework a bit more than I should and I was really thinking about it. This all had to be a bit of divine intervention because the SECOND I couldn't post, I honestly freaked out, panicked and even crazier, I didn't sleep at all. All of the great notes yesterday and today were exactly what I needed to make my decision and stick with this thing. I just REALLY need to get to the gym!

THE SHOWS
Apres Ski
I thought for sure that I had talked about my new favorite guilty pleasure, Apres Ski, but apparently I haven't posted anything about it yet. Reality show/Bravo loyalists should be loving this one already. Below Deck ends and now we have Apres Ski to take us through the winter. So the deal is that there's this guy Joe Gibbons who owns everything at the Whistler Ski Resort in Canada. He started this concierge service where guests can pay his staff to experience incredible things. Of course the young hip group of employees he hired to make these clients dreams come true, don't seem like the type that can really deliver. They're all pretty young and laid back and way too chilaxed,  but they're all really good looking and make for good TV. So far the team's, batting .500. One group wanted a food adventure, so the team arranged a gourmet dinner on a gondola as it traveled from mountain to mountain a million feet in the air. A few problems: One person was a vegan, the women wore stilettos (which aren't great in snow) and the vegan was also afraid of heights and had a panic attack on the gondola. Not cool at all. The star of the show is Bobby. This super cool gay dude took 3 single women in a helicopter to a hot spring where they had private masseuses, glacier ice and Bobby doing EVERYTHING they asked. There's already people to love and hate. This is a fun one.

Chrisley Knows Best
The Chrisley's are back!  I wasn't sure I'd be back with them. Last season felt so scripted to me, but there's just something about this family that sucks me in and I can't change the channel. I know what it is, it's Todd. He's nuts whether it's scripted or not. This season started out with Todd and Julie all freshly botoxed and headed to London with the entire family, even baby Chloe. Not sure what was up with Todd's obsession with kidnapping but he was driving me and his family insane. When they insisted on going out without him, he hired a bodyguard...I thought the dude was bankrupt? Guess not. The trip alone had to cost big bucks, but USA probably hooked them all up. The show's on before Donny Deutsch's show, so chances are I'll keep watching scripted or not.

Empire
All I know is that when Cookie finds out about the dude she's sleeping with (well, they really don't actually sleep, do they?) she is going to get that gun from Hakeem and do some damage. I can only imagine the hell that guy's gonna pay. Probably the same hell Cookie's going to pay when Lucious realizes that Jamal's awesome new song came directly from her. That is NOT going to be a good scene either. Nice to see Marisa Tomei back again. Did you see that almost three way? OMG this is a 9pm show people! Is Hakeem's girl group called Mirage-a-Trois or Menage-a-Trois? I keep thinking they are saying Mirage, but of course I could be wrong. Not loving Cookie's bangs, Portia's hair's and Hakeem's graffiti shirt, at all. See, I knew that Dre was going to go back to his dark place, this time though, he went to his pastor and then his wife. Now he has the tools he needs to stay out of the Carrie from Homeland zone. Good boy!  Lucious's secret is out, to all of us that is. His mom blew her brains out right in front of him. Ahhhh it all makes sense now, doesn't it?

Survivor
Was that not THE best blindside EVER? I didn't see it coming, I don't think anyone at tribal saw it coming and Savage DEFINITELY didn't see it coming. That was one of the best tribal council's in years. I don't know if Jeff hired a new editor or something but the blindside was beautiful and has TOTALLY changed the game. There was one point last night during one of the challenges where Jeff was doing his thing but he seemed to be putting the teams down for doing so poorly and I had the best idea ever. Next season...how about Jeff plays the game! I know we'd miss his narration and tribal council banter but they could get a former player like Boston Rob or Parvati to take his place and let Jeff actually try to outwit, outplay and outlast. On a side note...bagels and lox at a reward meal? How funny was that? Where'd they get lox in Cambodia? Doubting that Zabar's delivers that far. 2 bird flips at tribal, did you catch them? First Kass upon entry and then Savage upon exit. He was NOT happy at all. Huge move is what Ciera wanted and HUGE move is what she got. Great episode, great tribal, great blindside. Can't wait for next week.

The Goldbergs
Troop Beverly Hills...haven't thought about that movie in YEARS! Best part about that pajama party scene was Erica's neck gear. I've been telling my son about my neck gear forever and finally he got to see what it looked like. Hate to say it but that entire scene could have been at my house, in my room in 1980whatever. Loved the entire gimme a dog thing. The fact that Murray lied to Barry about him being allergic to dogs was classic and not the first time I've heard that happen. I have a friend who's parents told her that she was allergic to dogs too. She's a proud adult dog owner right now.  8 bucks for Lucky's shots and a tank of gas seemed a bit ridiculous even for 1980whatever. I knew the dog would end up loving Murray more than anyone else. Have you noticed how little Adam there is these days? My husband thinks they're dubbing his voice. Not sure we've ever seen a puberty in primetime television this bad before. Luke from Modern Family can relax, the crown's now on Adam's head and will probably live there for quite some time.
Goldberg Trivia: What was the song they played at the end of last nights episode?
THE OTHER STUFF

-Brilliant move and a huge opportunity...CBS has given  Stephen Colbert the post Super Bowl spot. He'll do a live show immediately following the big game and my favorite, James Cordon gets the post late news spot. I think I might be looking forward to both of these show more than the Super Bowl or the Super Bowl commercials. Car Karaoke...definitely happening. Anyone want to take bets as to who's in the passenger seat with James that night?

-If you're heading to Washington DC over the holidays you should definitely hit the Breaking Bad exhibit at the Smithsonian. What's on display you ask? THE BLUE METH, Heisenberg's hat and the yellow suits Walter and Jesse Pinkman "cooked" in and more

-Real Housewives of the Potomac and Real Housewives of Dallas are coming our way this winter. I'm willing to check them all out. I enjoy most of them. If there's insane wealth, insane drama and insane botox...I'm in.

-The next season of The Amazing Race will feature a bunch of Social Media Stars. I guess Tyler Oakley has enough dough now to hire a publicist to help him and all his other SM buddies make it on the much bigger screen. See, it's never enough, is it? Everyone wants more, more, more.

-The beautiful Rob Lowe was on Jimmy Kimmel last night promoting The Grinder and Grinder...check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpxF2J5I07c
