THE SHOWS

Madam Secretary
A lot of stuff was going on over in Myanmar and Elizabeth and Nadine had to go deal with it. Nadine was apparently a bit wild back in the day and had a son who just so happened to live in Myanmar so she thought she'd combine the crisis with a visit. He wasn't thrilled to see her, but of course they left on good terms after the crazy US Ambassador took the President of Myanmar hostage and worried about his Mom's safety. Back at home the neighbors weren't digging the fact that the Secretary of State was their neighbor. Henry tried to kiss their butts with some Mimosa's and omelet's but they weren't into it and Henry lost it big time. Elizabeth sent Blake to help out with the omelet's.  He had a great powerpoint deck and the dossier's of each neighbor for Henry, but it really wasn't enough. Unfortunately they both lost their cool with the neighbors and Elizabeth had to clean up their mess after cleaning up Myanmar's. Luckily she had POTUS's number in her cell and called in a quick favor and had the Secret Service turn the engines off. Don't they know that idling is bad for the environment? That can't be an actual rule can it?

The Good Wife
Who knew that Ali Wentworth lived downstairs from The Florick's? Like Elizabeth, Alicia was also having trouble with her neighbors. They wanted her out of the building for running a business out of her apartment. Just like Madam Secretary, Alicia couldn't be there to plead her case with the neighbors, so Grace, went and talked them all off the ledge. Alicia was in court dealing with a guy named ROBEY not to be confused with MOBY even though they did look alike. ROBEY had a kids song online that his record company felt they owned. Marsha Mason was the judge. Remember her? "I don't like the panties hanging on the rod" anyone know what movie that was from? Anyway, Even though Grace was kicking ass at running the home office, Alicia fired her. Not sure who will take care of things, get clients, and keep Alicia's calendar now. Maybe Marissa since she's back from Israel and got Alicia to forgive Eli. Cary asked Alicia to come back to the firm and even said Luca could come too, but Alicia turned him down. I'm betting they end up back there at some point soon. Speaking of Luca, she jumped into bed with Robey the Moby look-a-like pretty quickly. Freaky musicians have amazing power over all of us women.

Real Housewives of Potomac
If it has REAL HOUSEWIVES in the title, I have to check it out. Luckily Potomac sucks so I won't be adding it in to my already too crowded DVR. These women don't have Beverly Hills money, they say POTOMAC way too much and they are all way too obsessed with manners and etiquette that than none of them have. Sorry Andy...I'm out

Angie Tribeca
Okay, we watched the first 5 episodes of Angie Tribeca last night and they are hilarious. Angie's partner's name is J. Geils, there's an awesome German Shepherd named Hoffman, Charlie from Black-ish, great guest stars like Lisa Kudrow, Gary Cole, Adam Scott and James Franco. Steve and Nancy Carell have created a silly, dopey, stupid, fun little show that combines Scooby Doo and Airplane type humor. It's a cop show spoof packed with stupid jokes and really fun innovative product placements. We'll definitely finish the other 5 this week. You guys need to check it out. Finally Kevin Reilly has a winner! Congrats!

THE OTHER STUFF

-Last night on Fallon, Jimmy welcomed Tracy Morgan back after his accident with the best gift ever. A chair full of puppies. Yep, Pup Quiz was back just for Tracy. What's better than that? I wonder if Jimmy and I were friends if he would rent a bunch of puppies for me for my birthday or something. I would think if we were BFF's by now, he'd be doing some fun stuff for me other than drinking and eating chips and salsa together and watching movies. Check out Tracy and the puppies here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56ASkcsz5bQ

-Before Season 2 even begins, Netflix renewed Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for a 3rd season. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. You can binge the entire first season in a weekend.

-I read an interesting article while all you guys were home yesterday. Apparently, 70% of all Americans watch a short video on their smartphones every day. 20% of mobile video watchers spend a 1/2 hour or more watching snackable video and 40% watch long form video like an episode of TV or a movie on their smartphones every day.

-I'm trying to remember how we all got in to Downton Abbey. How did PBS get us to all head to the Sesame Street, Electric Company channel for a Primetime Drama? Now that they have us, they keep serving up other shows but so far none of them have sucked me in the same way. I didn't watch Mercy Street the other night. Did you? A bunch of people did...3.3 million people checked it out. It stars Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother and takes place in a hospital during the Civil War. None of that sounds interesting to me but I'm willing to check it out. Let me know if I should.

-You guys all know, obviously, how much I love TV, but I love music just as much, probably more. The David Bowie news was tough enough but I am a HUGE Eagles fan. Glenn Frey was an amazing songwriter who contributed so much to the Rock-n-Roll world and had a bunch of guest spots on TV over the years. I remember him in Miami Vice and so many others.  Here's one of my favorite Eagles tunes. RIP Glenn.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCdjvTTnzDU
