Not sure how many of you are off today, but I am here, so figured I would just stay on schedule…Enjoy the day off for those lucky enough to be asleep right now.

-Before we get to my recaps and other  stuff…wanted to bring something to light that I had been reading over the weekend.
The Thursday night broadcast ratings significant decline week over week, has a lot of people baffled and once again questioning Nielsen. In fact the entire week has apparently shown a significant decline in viewership. But the numbers are not what they appear (are they ever???)
I don’t have information or rationale on the entire week, but for Thursday, here is what I learned:  More people watched cable and LOTS of people watched Premio Lo Nuestro on Univision, also…apparently prior day DVR playback has been unusually high this week mainly because THE GRAMMY AWARDS threw everyone off so there was a lot to catch up on…myself included…took me all day Sunday to catch up.

-I watched a lot over the weekend, so I will try to be brief with my comments…could be tough though…SELLING SPELLING MANOR was a two part special on HGTV. I finally had a chance to watch part 1.  It was mesmerizing…even my husband sat and watched this show.  The house is 56,500 square feet.  It has 14 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms, a doll museum, bowling alley, 3 gift wrapping rooms and a barber shop on 4 ½ acres of land in California.  It has parking for 100 cars.  It took 7 years to build and is bigger than The White House, a football field and The Taj Mahal.  The wine cellar holds 1000 bottles.  It sold in 840 days for close to 150MM to a 22 year old.  Candy Spelling had 30 days to pack it all up and move.  It is incredible how much “stuff” you need to furnish and run a house of this size, but she had it all and it was VERY organized.  I could watch this show every day…unbelievable.

-Everyone that responded…wanted me to keep the KELLY reports coming…so…on Friday, it was still Josh Groban hangin in the co-host chair.  Kelly wore an odd dress that didn’t fit her really well…the necklace was missing, which was a good thing because it definitely would have looked awful.

-I didn’t see last night’s season 2 finale of DOWNTON ABBEY, but I did watch last week’s episode which was filled with all sorts of great twists…the Spanish flu hit Downton and took out Lady Grantham and Lavinia…of course, Lady Grantham is fine and was well enough to attend Lavinia’s funeral since she wasn’t able to beat the flu and the didn’t have Z-pac’s back then.  Just when you can breathe easy and think that now that Lavinia is out of the picture, Matthew and Mary can be together if she dumps that idiot Sir Richard, of course that doesn’t happen.  Before she died, Lavinia saw Matthew dancing and kissing Lady Mary and heard how much they want to be together, so she gives him permission on her deathbed to be with her, but of course now he just can’t…OY VEY people…so complicated!  Mr. Bates and Anna got married just before he was arrested for the murder of his wife (he didn’t do it though) and they were able to “do it” before he got sent to jail…so at least that’s one good thing.  Cybil left with the chauffer dude on good terms with her family and Granny seems to be coming around a bit…but I am sure a ton happened last night…can’t wait to see it.

-I cannot find the words to express what a fool I feel like when I watch ONE TREE HILL.  It is just SO ridiculous…I mean Nathan Scott, being held hostage by Russian mobsters for trying to sign a Russian basketball player?  Evil Dan working with Julian to find Nathan, but it is Mouth (who is still wearing fat man makeup) who figures out the situation in less than a night.  Why does Chris Keller ALWAYS speak in the 3rd person?  Supposedly, Chad Michael Murray comes back this week to help find his bro, but honestly I don’t know if even that will help this pathetic show at this point.  It needs to be put out of its misery…BAD

-Did you guys watch any or all of Whitney Houston’s funeral?  I watched most of it, but via DVR, so I could blip through all the preacher parts and the people I didn’t want to hear speak.  Obviously Kevin Costner was the story…his eulogy was amazing.  Was Tyler Perry ever a preacher before?  He really had “the spirit” apparently on Saturday.  It was really a very moving funeral service and ending it hearing Whitney sing was actually perfect.  RIP Whitney  You got a pretty good send off…

-I watched 2 episodes of ONCE UPON A TIME…a lot went on, but here is where I think we are:  Rumplestilskin is apparently also the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, and Belle was played by Emilie Ravine from LOST.  Rumple thinks that Belle is dead, but the Mayor, who knows she is also the Queen, and knows that Mr. Gold is Rumple, has Belle locked up in some hospital somewhere…so basically, she is alive and will probably make herself known to Rumple/Mr. Gold soon.  Then in last night’s episode…Katherine decides to leave Storybrooke, but of course something bad happens when you leave that town, so now she is missing.  Prince Charming/David and Snow White still can’t be together because David lied to her about telling Katherine the truth about them.  I cannot believe I can actually keep track of all of this…but it is SO good that you have to stay with it. These writers really have to win some award for just thinking up this stuff…

-Okay, I just cannot believe what happened on RINGER this week…we were all played!  I had no idea at all that Juliet and the teacher were in cahoots to rip off her own father for millions…didn’t see that coming at all.  Great shocker!

-So good to have CELEBRITY APPRENTICE back last night.  You know it’s scary when the women determine that the most recognizable person on their team is Theresa Giudice/Geodichay (it is said 3 different ways in this episode).  I didn’t know who Aubrey O’Day was (I do now) but she seems to feel she is a HUGE star that everyone knows more than Theresa…she could be right.  All I know is that Victoria Gotti is very scary looking and very scary to even deal with.  I love how they play Godfathery type music when she is on the screen…hilarious.  What is with Dee Snyder and that toothpick?  Doesn’t he know he is on TV and if he ran and tripped he could poke a hole in his throat (that’s what my Mom would say anyway).  Paul Sr. from ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS was pretty intense and scary too…but the big money did come through for the guys and SPOILER ALERT: Cheryl Tiegs went home…she sucked anyway…

-I watched a bunch of other shows this weekend, but this is already too long so I am stopping the recaps here.

-Nick Cannon had to quit his job on Z-100 here in NY due to health reasons, but I am hoping he will be healthy enough to continue working with Howard Stern on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.  I guess if you are married to Mariah Carey, have twin babies, and two jobs…it could be too much.  Just being married to Mariah seems enough to me.

-Matthew Perry, aka Chandler Bing from FRIENDS is heading to THE GOOD WIFE beginning on 3/25.  Do they have a coffee place he can hang out in when he gets there?  I don’t think so.

With all that I am reading about the demise of the Blackberry, I thought this chart was sort of interesting…but as you can see from the chart…most of the users have their employer to thank for the paying of their bill…
