-Last night was date night with my awesome husband so the only thing we watched was Howard Stern on LETTERMAN when we got home. It was definitely Howard’s best appearance ever. I really think that Dave was touched by Howard’s self proclaimed loyalty to him, especially when he swore to Dave that he would not be appearing on THE TONIGHT SHOW to promote his new gig on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT. Dave actually hugged Howard before the end of the show. Having gotten home to see Howard on LETTERMAN was the perfect ending to a perfect night…hope you guys are okay with it…some things are more important than TV…not many, but some.
-The Volkswagen/Star Wars barking dog SUPERBOWL commercial seems to be the “teaser” for the real ad, which is also pretty good…at this rate we will really have seen every commercial before it airs in the game. Check out this one:
-Anyone who remembers THREE’S COMPANY knows that when Suzanne Somers (Chrissy) left the show, she and Joyce DeWitt (Janet) never spoke again. Well, Suzanne now has a talk show online and it is there that she and Joyce buried the hatchet just the other day. You have to check this clip out…Suzanne Somers looks incredible…and Joyce looks…well…no offense…but OLD…I am betting Joyce is again never going to speak to Suzanne after this show…just for looking that good.
-Facebook has officially filed for its initial public offering and will look to raise $5 billion. Some official stats from the filing:
· Facebook’s value is currently at 100 billion dollars
· Facebook has 845 million users
· 483 million daily users.
· Revenue for 2011 stands at $3.71 billion, up from $1.97 billion in 2010 (that's an increase of 88%).
· Facebook's operating income in 2011 was $1.76 billion, up from $1.03 billion in 2010.
· Facebook’s net income in 2011 was $1 billion vs. 2010’s $606 million.

-So far, in the online competition, the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS and the NY GIANTS are pretty much tied…according to Nielsen, the Patriots have received more traffic to the teams website BUT the Giants are getting more online buzz in social media. Tom Brady though has it way over Eli online…he has captured double the amount of Buzz than our NY QB…all that matters in the end is who wins…and I am hoping it’s Eli and the NY GIANTS (even though I am a Jet fan)
-Lots of SHAMELESS watchers out there will be happy to know that it, along with HOUSE OF LIES and CALIFORNICATION have all been renewed for additional seasons.
-Don Cornelius, the host and creator of SOUL TRAIN died yesterday at the age of 75. Wow…I remember that show from when I was a kid…so many great African American artists got their start on that show…to honor Don, BET is running a 24 hour marathon tonight and most of the weekend. I’ll have to remember this…I am sure there are some great performances to check out…like Kool and the Gang and Lionel Richie when he was still a Commodore.
