-Jerry O’Connell returned to PRE-RECORDED WITH KELLY yesterday…nothing earth shattering to report really…he was funny, she had a decent outfit, necklace only appeared in interview clips, watched the entire hour in 10 minutes

-SMASH from Monday night was sort of a course correcting type episode for the show within a show and for the real show.  Michael Swift was fired and if he didn’t get fired he was going to quit because, oh yeah, he loves his wife and kid…they mean the world to him, so I guess he was suffering from amnesia the past few episodes when he wanted to risk everything to be with Julia? That storyline isn’t quite over, because it looks like next week, Julia’s husband finds out about the affair.  He could go too really…I don’t love him…he should take the son and move to Maine or something, and let Julia and Tom get back to work on the show.  Someone also needs to get rid of Ellis, who is one of the most annoying characters ever, especially because we have no idea what his motive to be so annoying really is.  Meryl Streep’s mini-me daughter made her debut as Angelica Huston’s daughter, but whenever you look at her all you see is her mom…which isn’t really a bad thing at all.  Ivy is out of the show and Karen’s fate isn’t really clear although her secret “Touch Me” number was really great.  The show has been renewed so hopefully the new showrunner will get the entire show back on track…it looks like that’s where it is headed.

-Another shocking ending of RINGER…how do they do that? Loved how Andrew swindled back his money from Katherine..classic move. I can’t believe that Henry’s father –in-law turned him in to the feds…that didn’t go how he planned at all.  Really gross moment when one of the bad guys spit blood all over Agent Machado’s face…he had it all over him…so nasty.  They really better not cancel this show, it’s so juicy and each week is better than the last.

-Last night was the season finale of JOAN KNOWS BEST.  My son and I are bummed that it was such a short season, but it was a nice ending…Joan and Melissa’s assistant Sabrina renewed her vows in Vegas where of course Joan was performing…so I am guessing that the Palazzo hotel picked up the tab for everything.  Joan, Melissa and Cooper, the most laid back kid in the world (must be what happens to you when you grow up surfing in Malibu) all went zip-lining in Vegas together.  Joan will do anything for that kid…Since Sabrina was married 20 years ago, they all wore the same outfits they wore to Sabrina’s first wedding (I can’t believe they had them all and they fit…well Joan’s didn’t but she wore it anyway).  When Melissa was going through her clothes she took the opportunity to try on her wedding gown from her first marriage.  I totally remember her wedding at the Plaza with the Russian Dr. Zhivago theme…anyway we will miss them while they are on hiatus, but glad to see they will be back for season 3.

-I love Scott Baio…always have, so I was happy to hear that he has signed with Nick@Nite to produce and star in a new comedy called DADDY’S HOME about a stay at home dad and his family.  Scott’s past few reality shows have been pretty good, first when he was thinking about getting married and then when he was having a baby…funny stuff, I hope that DADDY’S HOME will be funny too…even if it isn’t Scott is still good to look at, so I’ll probably tune in anyway.

-I don’t have to watch DANCING WITH THE STARS to know what’s going on…the clips of the dances are all over the place and it’s so easy to find out who is kicked off…I had a feeling Martina would be first to go.  Seeing her in those dance costumes was ultra uncomfortable…for some reason WAY more uncomfortable than Chaz last season.  Martina really couldn’t dance at all…I guess tennis footwork has nothing to do with the two step?

-I can’t believe that the 8th season of DEADLIEST CATCH premiere’s on 4/10 which will be the series 100th episode.  My family has been watching since day one…we love Captain Zig and from what I have heard/read, the crab season was brutal this year.  I am not sure which boats are returning, but hopefully the Cornelia Marie and the Northwestern are both back and ready to find some opi’s.

-PIERS MORGAN’S numbers are down…really down!  Apparently in Q1 they were down 40% against A25-54 and 36% in total viewers vs. year ago.  Not good Piers, you promised huge numbers…what happened?  Sometimes it’s better to just quietly surprise people rather than make huge predictions and promises that are almost impossible to keep.  Piers should have learned this from Rex Ryan…coach of my NY Jets and Tim Tebow’s new boss.  Just zip it and get the job done…both of you.

-A new show called THE PITCH airs at 11pm after MAD MEN on 4/8 on AMC.  It sounds kind of interesting considering it is an unscripted show that goes inside the world of advertising agencies and what lengths they go through to pitch a major new piece of business.  For all of us that have experienced this for real, I can’t imagine letting camera’s in on this process, but some agency that was pitching Subway restaurants apparently did allow the camera’s in.  Just thinking about this and what it was like stresses me out…I have so been there not a fun process at all, but of course I am going to check it out.

-Every time I see these charts I am always amazed that there are actually homes in the US without TV’s…and way more than I would ever think.  (But look at the source, I have 8 TV’s and 7 Tivo’s not to mention computers, IPAD’s and phones I can watch shows on) Who are these people without a TV and does that mean they don’t watch TV online?  I need to find someone who doesn’t have a TV and ask them a million questions.
