-PRE-RECORDED WITH KELLY update…My husband said that Kelly’s dress on yesterday’s show looked like she was attacked by birds…I completely agree with this description and he obviously is allowing me to use it today…thanks babe!  Dan Abrams was her co-host and I’m just not into him.  For some reason he had his shirt unbuttoned a bit low in my opinion for daytime TV. He just isn’t cool enough or hot enough to pull that look off… No necklace for the record.

-I am betting that the writers of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES are reading the 50 Shades of Grey books because in last night’s episode, Rebecca had Damon strung up in chains so that she could bleed him of vervein. Sounds like something from those books…no???  The good news is, his shirt was open the entire time, the bad news…his body was super bloody so you couldn’t really get the full effect of how beautiful it is.  SPOILER ALERT: Klaus threatened the lives of Bonnie’s Mom and Jeremy in order to get her to break the linking spell.  Of course, Bonnie breaks the curse seconds before Stefan and Elena kill Finn… so now the Klaus storyline can continue since all of the originals will now have to be killed individually.  We also learned that apparently if you kill an original vampire, their entire bloodline also dies.  This really screws things up for our boys because they’re not sure which one of the originals is responsible for making them…think about it like a Russian roulette situation now.  There are 4 originals left, so you could be killing yourself if you don’t pick the right original to kill. Oh…and if that wasn’t enough…we do know this…if Klaus dies, which is what everyone wants (well, maybe not everyone) than Tyler would die too…great episode that ends with the lovely news that there isn’t another new episode until 4/19….oh one more thing…for any of you BIONIC WOMAN fans, don’t you love how in order for Caroline to use her super hearing powers she needs to move the hair away from her ear…just like Jaime Summers had to back in the day…always thought it was funny when she did that…

-The only other show I got to watch last night was 30 ROCK.  Again, I have to give the writers and Tina Fey credit on their amazing product integration skills.  They completely raise the bar in understanding how to pull it all off while weaving it into the storyline organically.  This week was McDonalds with Mayor McCheese starring in a TGS skit.  In addition, Liz keeps trying to meditate and Jack as her guru was hilarious.  When Jack tries to meditate there are a million Liz’s saying various things at the same time…one of them says “SMASH…Monday’s at 10”…brilliant!  I can’t stand the new Hazel character…we didn’t need her and I really want her gone. Please Liz Lemon/Tina Fey…fire her and if you can’t do it go get The Donald…he’ll show you how it’s done.

-Normally, I recommend a movie for weekend viewing, but there is SO much great programming on this weekend, that it’s going to be tough to have a life, watch a movie and watch THE KIDS CHOICE AWARDS, GAME OF THRONES PREMIERE, ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS and THE FINAL FOUR.  If all of that isn’t enough to make you go buy another TiVO, THE KILLING premiere’s this Sunday at the same time as the season finales of SHAMELESS, HOUSE OF LIES and CALIFORNICATION.

-Pretty sure that there won’t be a new season of TORI & DEAN since A) she is pregnant again with her billionth kid and B) she is now hosting and executive producing the new TLC show CRAFT WARS.  I am so NOT crafty, I am sort of jealous of people that are too…crafting seems to be more popular than ever, especially on Pinterest, there are tons of people showing off their crazy skills all over that site.  I am betting this one will do pretty well.  Good Luck with it Tori!

-Sooooo over Betty White, but NBC is still riding the Betty White bandwagon with the new Betty White special “BETTY WHITE’S OFF THEIR ROCKERS” which is like candid camera but the twist is the old folks prank the young’uns.  OY VEY with this one…if the ratings are huge on this I will freak out…really…I will

-Good news for BONES fans…FOX has renewed it for an 8th season

- Smartphones account for almost half (49.7%) of all mobile phones, and are dominating new phone purchases (at more than two-thirds of all mobile phone purchases), this is an increase of 38% over last year; in February 2011, only 36% of mobile subscribers owned smartphones. In terms of the smartphone OS market, Android holds a 48% share of smartphone owner, with Apple accounting for 32.1% and BlackBerry at 11.6%. Among those who bought a smartphone in the last three months, 48% of respondents in the February 2012 report said they chose an Android, while 43% bought an iPhone.

-I have a lot of apps, but the best one for content aggregation, in my opinion, is ZITE.  The good news is…it’s now available on Android, so seriously…download and start using it. I guarantee you will love it.  It’s great because when you read an article you can thumbs up or thumbs down it, and you are also asked if you would be more interested in various key words that appear in the article…so the more you read and use the app the more it customizes itself to your likes and dislikes.  Trust me…this is a good one!

As we approach the upfronts a lot of us will learn of the demise of some of our favorite shows as networks will have to make all cancellation decisions…I saw this a while ago and thought it was the right time to share it.  Any of you that took sociology in college or high school are probably familiar with the 5 stages of grief, here are the TV FAN’S FIVE STAGES OF GRIEF which I think many of us went through last year with the cancellation of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.
·         Denial – "The show's fine, it won't be cancelled"; "They'd never cancel a show with a squinty jillion average viewers that wins its timeslot"; "They'd never cancel a show from JJ Abrams"; "The network executives love this show"
·         Anger – "Why this show? It's not fair, when reality crap continues to get renewed!"; "How can this happen to my show? "; "The morons who run the network are to blame!"
·         Bargaining – "If they cancel this show, I'll never watch anything on this network again!"; "If we send them bags of crap/sign internet petitions/barrage them with emails/perform other goofy stunts it will save the show!" "Netflix will save it!"
·         Depression – "I'm so sad, why should I ever start watching a new TV show again?"; "If every show I ever like gets cancelled... What's the point?"; "Maybe I should just stick to DVDs of old shows"
·         Acceptance – "It's going to be okay, it's had a good run of seasons"; "At least we got the story wrapped up, unlike lots of other shows"

-I am obviously a loyal viewer of THE VOICE, so I don’t watch IDOL, but again, just like DANCING WITH THE STARS, no need to watch AMERICAN IDOL, as the clips are all over the place and it’s easy to find out that SPOILER ALERT: HeeJun Han was kicked off last night…bummer for HeeJun.

Friday’s Trivia Question-GAME OF THRONES second season premiere’s this Sunday on HBO…name one of the three families fighting for power.

Check out the blog another GAME OF THRONES trivia question and check the blog over the weekend…ya never know when I may have the urge to get something out of my brain and out there for you guys to think about.
