WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH 3/18/11

-Even though Wednesday's IDOL dipped in the ratings a bit, it still blew away all of the
competition giving FOX the win for the night.  IDOL had an average of 22.1 million
viewers and a 7.4 rating.  SURVIVOR (CFF) came in second at 8pm with 10.5 million
viewers.  More people NEED to watch it, especially now with host (Jeff Probst-that
rhymes) tweeting live throughout.  Really a fun way to watch.  I don't watch CRIMINAL
MINDS, but apparently a series regular left the show on Wednesday and gave it a boost
in the ratings as it delivered 13.6 million viewers from 9-10p.  At 10, CRIMINAL
MINDS: SUSPECT BEHAVIOR also benefitted by the departure of Prentiss as it drew
10.2 million viewers and a 2.6 and won the time period.  All of the ABC comedies were
reruns.


-Top 5 Cable shows for the night were:  REAL WORLD LAS VEGAS -1.3, STORAGE
WARS-1.3, TOP CHEF-1.2, NBA (CFF) on ESPN 1.2, and JUSTIFIED -.8
- Tuesday night's COMEDY CENTRAL'S ROAST OF DONALD TRUMP now ranks as the
most-watched roast special ever among M18-24 as it delivered 3.5 million total viewers
and a 5.50 rating with M18-24 as well as a 2.21 rating with A18-49 (I still haven't
watched it)


-More good news for me, BEING HUMAN on FX has been renewed for another season. 
More renewal news, NBC comedies, COMMUNITY, THE OFFICE, and PARKS &
RECREATION have also been renewed for another season


-If you are from New York, you may remember that LARA SPENCER started out on
WABC (Channel 7) news before hitting the big time, moving to LA and becoming host
of THE INSIDER.  Well she is coming back to New York and to ABC, to GOOD
MORNING AMERICA where she will be the newest lifestyle reporter.  Welcome Back
Lara!


-I have been really light on the Charlie Sheen commentary, as I (believe it or not)
became overloaded on Charlie, but, I have to comment on this.  Charlie is "out on tour"
and SOLD OUT 2 nights at Radio City Music Hall. Tickets ranged in price from 79.50 to
750 (you get to meet him for this price).  The good news is, he is donating a dollar
from every ticket to the Japanese relief fund.  The interesting thing to me is, what is he
going on tour to do?  RANT?  Can't wait to find out more...the answer to your
question...NO, I am not going to see him.
