-This in between the seasons thing isn't really good for TV bloggers is it? Not that much good stuff to write about really, no great research to report...I'm trying though!
-On LIVE WITH KELLY, the co-host was Ed Robertson from the band The Barenaked Ladies. I know the band, but honestly I wouldn't have had a clue who Ed Robertson was if Kelly didn't introduce him. Really odd co-host choice. I'm sure there is a story there, I just don't know what it is. Is Ed a huge Kelly fan? Did he watch DANCE PARTY USA too? Ed was okay, he leaned to far to the left and invaded Kelly's personal space a bit, but he was fine. Definitely not a real contender I don't think. Kelly's outfit was decent actually, but the whole situation of not understanding what Ed was doing there really distracted me.
-The series finale of BETHENNY EVER AFTER ended with just as many tears as most of the other episodes this season. Bethenny's assistant Julie left the insanity to head back to Pittsburgh and her boyfriend and maybe a reality check? The show ended nicely with Bethenny and Jason moving into their new apartment and the viewers getting the big reveal after months and months of renovation. Of course two seconds after they move in, they get the news that they need to move to LA to start on Bethenny's talk show. The test shows start airing here in NY next week. Jason officially joined Bethenny's team and she was nice enough to offer everyone else on the team the opportunity to go to LA with them, but looking at all of their faces when they heard the news, it didn't look like all of them would really go. I was ready to let Bethenny go...this last season was annoying and I am concerned that too much Bethenny, is too much Bethenny which could be a problem with her talk show. I'll definitely check it out next week and see what its like. Good Luck Jason, you're going to need it in LA.
-There were two acts on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT last night that had me, and my family freaking out...the escape artist who hung upside down in a straight jacket with giant clamps that would smush him if he didn't get out on time, and the guy that held up a chair with chains hooked into his eyelids. Just typing that, gives me the willy's! It was sick! Of course he got put through to Vegas because now we want to see what other sick things he can do. We love a good train wreck don't we? On a side note, did anyone catch Nick Cannon's bling? If you didn't...check it out here: Pretty serious bling right???
-I am guessing that when they shot the finale for COUGARTOWN they assumed it was the series finale not the season finale. Either way, it was really cute. First the beloved game, Pennycan was in, then it was dead and then it was back in all its glory. Grayson suggested that he and Jules elope, and for Jules that meant that the entire gang fly to the holy land for wine drinkers...Napa. But when Grayson's "jump the shark" kid, Tampa/Jill couldn't make it to the nuptials, Jules postponed the wedding, the gang flew back home and they got married on the beach just as Jules really wanted. Jules and Grayson got married (in a very COUGARTOWN way-only real viewers would get that) and rode off on her dad's horse down the beach and into the sunset...see ya all on TBS in the Fall. (Hopefully with a new name and without Tampa/Jill)
- I don't know why the news that Anthony Bourdain will be leaving The Travel Channel to join CNN surprised me so much. I don't consistently watch his show. In an interesting move though he will be going over to CNN to help create a signature showcase for the network’s coverage of food and travel. Well, if anyone can do it, Anthony can.
-The History Channel miniseries HATFIELDS & MCCOYS, which is so not my thing, scored huge ratings Monday night, drawing the channel's biggest audience ever and one of the biggest in the history of cable TV. Part one of the three-night miniseries, which chronicles the infamous 19th century feud between two families, drew 13.9 million viewers. This was the biggest audience of the night on all of television by a wide margin -- the closest competitor, AMERICA'S GOT TALENT on NBC, averaged just over 10 million people. Congrats Kevin Costner.
-Tim Daly was fired from PRIVATE PRACTICE and won't be returning. I can't seem to find out why, but apparently PRIVATE PRACTICE has seen plenty of drama behind the scenes with cast members and writer/creator Shonda Rhimes.

-For the first time ever, The 2012 MISS USA competition will invite fans to ask a final question using Twitter leading up to
the 2012 MISS USA telecast, airing on June 3 at 9 PM on NBC. Traditionally, the celebrity judging panel
asks the final question of the remaining five finalists. This year, one of the
five questions will come from a real fan via twitter. Beginning tomorrow and throughout the two-hour program, fans will tweet
questions to contestants using #AskMissUSA. One lucky fan question will be read
to a Top Five finalist during the interview portion of the competition.
