XTINA FORGOT HER PANTS!

Some housekeeping...first and foremost thanks to all of you for taking the hyperlink over to the blog...much appreciated!

I think there is some confusion as to how to send your trivia answers...there are two ways actually.  You can click on either of the links below: kristy@watchingwaytoomuch.com or kristy.carruba@verizonwireless.com.  Either one will get your answer to me quickly.

The answer to Monday's Trivia Question Which was: Who is responsible for dimming the lights each week on AMERICAN IDOL... Kieran is apparently the lighting guy whose job it is to turn the lights down low.  Hope he does that at home for his spouse too!
FIRST AND ONLY correct answer: Jim Wall

-If I didn't want to hear about Kelly and Mark's night at the White House Correspondents Dinner (that doesn't really take place at the White House by the way), I would have turned off LIVE WITH KELLY the second Kelly and Pat Kiernan walked out on stage...They both looked so beige and boring that I really had no desire to look and listen to either one of them, but I persevered and then couldn't really deal and deleted it after about 8 minutes.  Kelly and Mark had a great time...of course they did, who wouldn't?

-Again, I am disgusted whenever I watch any part of the REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NJ that any member of the Giudice family appears in.  Joe Giudice lost his license (DUI), then he went and got a fake license and the way he speaks to his kids makes me crazy.  The Giudices, who seem to be seriously in debt, apparently own a restaurant, but Joe closed it for Summer vacation because being there personally was" too difficult to deal with". Then he went to Jaqueline's home and started offending everyone so badly that he came home with a black eye.  I don't know who makes me sicker, Joe Giudice or Ashley, Jacqueline's daughter. Finally,  Jaqueline and Chris kick Ashley out of the house to go live in Vegas with her sister but it literally takes two days, two separate trips to the airport and her stepfather to walk her and put her on the plane like a 6 year old to make it all happen.   Another spoiled, disrespectful, ungrateful child...I don't know if Las Vegas is the best place for her, but as long as she is out of the house, maybe Jacqueline and Chris can breathe a little.

-Of course Barney takes Marshall to Atlantic City and gets him wasted just as Lily goes into labor back home in NYC...part 1 of the 2 part season finale cliffhanger on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.  Also hanging in the balance...Quinn and Barney's relationship and Robin and Ted's. Sure all of that is good stuff, I was more excited about Barney's creation of the condolence high five, which I think I am going to try to institute at work this week. Or even at home with my family...wait, let me go tell me son he can't have any ice cream and see if it works...back in a minute...nope...didn't go over well...but I think I can make it work...I'll keep working in it..it's really all in the delivery.

-CeeLo's Mr. Purrrfect T-shirt was sort of creepy and weird, don't you think?  It looked like CeeLo was wearing a billion dollars in bling on THE VOICE last night...but Xtina gave him a run for his money with her "Xtina" knuckle duster...Apparently she spent all of her money on her ring there wasn't enough for some pants?

- It looked that way to me when she got up to hug Chris Mann after his performance of "Ava Maria".  I was sitting there and was shocked at first because I had no idea that she wasn't wearing any pants.  I didn't love Tony Lucca's version of "How Ya Like Me Now", it seemed very Vegasy especially with the 2 skanky chicks dancing with him.  Erin Willet was awesome, she sang "Without You by" David Guetta and she was the best of the evening in my opinion.  Jermaine Paul's version of  Open Arms was impressive, not Steve Perry impressive, but impressive nonetheless.  My favorite, Katrina Parker sang Killing Me Softly...The Fugees version,(not the Roberta Flack version as CeeLo pointed out. She did a great job but not better than Erin this week.  The only thing good about Lindsay was that Xtina felt the need to hug her too, so we got to see her lack of pants yet again...Oh...just realized that I forgot to mention Xtina's tiara...it wasn't as cool as the sparkly saucer hat, but hey, anyone that can pull off a tiara has to get credit for it.

-The new AMC show, THE PITCH was SO unenjoyable for my husband and I to watch, that we turned it off after 15 minutes.  The show is a reality show about  the advertising agency process of pitching a new piece of business.  We both got so annoyed and stressed that it brought back  the work day we just spent so many hours trying to forget that we had to just turn it of...CLICK...delete done!  Back to Bethenny and Jason...

-Bethenny and Jason and every female that works for them were still on vacation in Mexico.  While Bethenny and Jason seemed pretty good this week, we had one person apparently quit right in the middle of the ocean after she heard that Bethenny and Jason have to be out of the apartment in 30 days and basically have no place to go. So that leaves Jackie as the only one left on Bethenny's team to help with his BIG problem...except that it now looks like Jason is going to officially jump into Bethenny's business with both feet now too.  I don't know if that's the best idea, and with Bethenny testing out the talk show waters in lieu of her reality show, we won't really know how they are all doing, but we all do hope they live happily ever after.

-I can't even believe that I am typing this, but HBO has already renewed GIRLS and VEEP for a second season...WHY HBO?  WHY?  Both shows stink.  Is anyone even watching them?  If they are, they'll stop soon...I only lasted 2 episodes each and that was it for me.  Nobody is talking about these shows the next day, and if they are, they are talking about how much they stink!  Maybe HBO doesn't have anything better in development? Could that be the case?  I hope not, but I am getting nervous.

-A Big Brother-style competition series called THE GLASS HOUSE is coming our way on ABC.  The series, premiering June 18 at 10p, watches as 14 contestants live with and compete against each other in a totally wired house with a 24/7 live feed and multiple cameras throughout vying for a $250,000 grand prize.  In a different twist, viewers of the show will be able to support the contestants they like through online and social media platforms and their votes will help determine which ones go home and which eliminated participants will have the chance to return to the competition. Of course being a SUPERFAN of BIG BROTHER, I will have to check this out, but I'm getting nervous on time now...between AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, BIG BROTHER and now this if it's good...I want to actually spend time outside over the Summer...this could be a problem.

  • Amazon, Apple, Google, and Facebook, generated more than $200 billion in 2011 revenues, over half of which came from mobile sources.
  • These four companies accounted for 76% of global mobile app download and advertising revenues in 2011.
  • Amazon and Google are each making billions every year from mobile devices
  • Facebook is still trying to figure things out
  •  Apple is making more money than all three combined
  • Mobile content is slated to grow form a $10 billion base in 2011 to more than $43 billion in 2015.
-U.S. Hispanics are forecasted to spend $17.6 billion on mobile devices in 2012 (+30% over 2011) and $501.1 million on mobile apps by the end of 2012, according to Zpryme, per an eMarketer report. Zpryme found that smartphone penetration was 51.5% among those it surveyed, which actually beats eMarketer's 46.9% estimation of smartphone penetration for Hispanic mobile users (as of the end of 2011). Moreover, 19% of respondents owned tablets, which beat eMarketer's estimate of 12.6% for the same time period. Overall, eMarketer attributes the high adoption rates for mobile devices among Hispanics to the demo being on average a younger audience, and therefore more likely to use mobile devices.
