Another night of Battle Rounds on The Voice. Daniel vs Alexis...lots of eye glasses in this round. CeeLo was wearing a huge pair of aviators, Daniel wore a big set of specs and so did Alexis. 12 eyes...Daniel had some pretty major confidence issues but he rose to the challenge during his performance of Adam Lambert's  "What'da ya want from me?" Alexis clearly won this round in my opinion, but CeeLo had a different opinion and chose Daniel.  Alexis was robbed.  What's weird is that nobody stole Alexis.  2nd round Brandon vs Nicole for Team Adam.  They sang "Aint No Mountain High Enough" which was tough because it's such an amazing duet.  The duet was pretty good...downloadable good.  An easy choice for me...I chose Nicole and Adam agreed and picked her too.  During the battle, Blake was doing this chicken clucking thing with his head. None of the judges, stole Brandon and so the night went on.  Fast forward rounds, which I hate... Lauren vs Brian... Lauren won.  Ryan vs Cassadee...Cassadee won, Joe vs Samuel...Joe won.  What is the point of the FF round?   Devon and Marisa Ann performed next for Team Drooptina.  They sang "Free Your Mind".  This one could have gone either way. Droopy chose Devon...fine by me, especially since Blake stole Marisa Ann. Tonight is the final night of the Battle Rounds and the last chance for anyone to steal.

Luckily Ed our DWTS correspondent did his job this week or this would be a VERY short edition of WWTM since the debates took up most of the night.  Take it Ed...

This week is Guilty Pleasure Week – a two-night event without an elimination where the dancers pick their own “guilty pleasure” songs.

Kelly Monaco and Val (dancing to Brokenhearted by Karmin – ask your kids) had the worst dance of the night due to, as her package showed, her return to General Hospital.  They didn’t bite when Brooke fished for information about their relationship, to which I say – lighten up Kelly!  Your actions are speaking louder than words anyway.

Gilles Marini and Peta (I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston – really Gilles?) provided the highlight of the night as the Carrie Ann-in-heat count jumps to SEVEN (up from five).  I put two notches on her belt after she screamed “let the baby making begin!” (a nod to his package – pun intended) and proceeding to fall off her chair!  Really.  The only thing better than the fall itself was the producers replaying it in slow motion right after the break.

Kirstie Ally and Maks danced to Mrs. Robinson.  Her package showed how stressed she was going into the dance – which turned out to be her best dance this season according to all the judges.

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl danced to Copacabana.  I’m too much of a media skeptic to believe it’s a coincidence that Barry Manilow announced his Broadway show today Emmitt didn't have a good answer when he was asked why he chose the song.  Regardless, the Carrie Ann-in-heat count should go up one more here too but since she already got a double count thanks to Gilles, I’ll leave it standing at seven.

The rest of the individual dancers (Shawn and Derek, Melissa and Tony, Sabrina and Louis and Apolo and Karina – aka “Team Call Me Maybe”) will hit the stage for their individual routines tomorrow.

As for Team Call Me Maybe – their freestyle dance was phenomenal.  They survived Melissa’s herniated disc scare to perform choreography where it was impossible to distinguish the celebrities from the professionals, according to Bruno.

Part two tomorrow!

Thanks Ed!

Have you guys seen the Chanel No. 5 commercial with Brad Pitt?  WTF is that all about? How much dough did they pay him for that?  Will it sell perfume? As of last night when I wrote this, the youtube videos have had nearly 10 million views.  I don't think they are being viewed for any reason other than their complete and utter ridiculousness.

X Factor has already been renewed for a 3rd season which sort of surprises me.  Ratings aren't that great and Britney isn't getting the greatest reception, but I guess that FOX is happy enough with the numbers to green light another season.  Some other news...The CW gave Arrow a full season order, Showtime gave Homeland the go ahead for Season 3 and Jesse James is officially out of the doghouse...Discovery is bringing him back in a new show called Outlaw Garage.

Traditional TV obviously still leads in video consumption, but check out the amount of time shifting going on.

Tuesday's Trivia Question: Okay, you guys wanted a more difficult trivia question...here goes...Billy Crystal started out in TV before making it big in movies.  Billy played one of the first openly gay characters on the show SOAP...name his character.
