Thursday Night was all X Factor for me...I HATE NOT HAVING MY DVR

ALL: I am experiencing all sorts of issues...so I only seem to be able to send this out via Facebook and Twitter.  Pass around to you friends and folks you know etc.
I hope you are all safe, warm, and have gasoline!

The answer to Thursday's Trivia Question: Dr. Jennifer Melfi was Tony Soprano's therapist.  I apologize, I realized at the last second that I didn't have a trivia question and came up with this one which I believe I have used before.

Majority rules, so X Factor was the choice at 8pm in the Carruba house last night.  What was interesting though was that it was the winning show NOT because it's so great but because it's a "train wreck." (This according to my son and husband)  KKO was wearing a royal blue leather dress, I guess the thick leather fabric will keep the nips warm and prevent KKO's headlights from turning on like last night.  Mario should give his tailor a raise.  His suits really fit him PERFECTLY.  I do enjoy him even though he cheated on Ali Landry during their honeymoon.  Demi Lovato dumped Wednesday's bangs, I'm guessing because she didn't want to look even remotely close to Britney who kept hers for Thursday's show.
First category was the young adults.  Demi kept Janelle and Paige and made Willie and Cece fight it out for survival.  Ultimately it was Willie that went home.
Second category was the over 25's.  L.A. kept Vino & Tate and made David and Jason sing for survival.  L.A. sent home David...BIG mistake, even the crowd did NOT agree with L.A.
Third category was the teens. Britney put Beatrice & Carly through and then Arin & Diamond sang for survival.  Britney sent Diamond home and kept Arin...tough decision though...very tough.
Last category was the groups.  Simon's category.  Simon put through Emblem 3 and  Lyric 145. Sister C and 1432 (I love you too) sang for survival and I was shocked that Sister C was sent packing.

A few additional comments:
Did anyone catch Britney's mistake in her pronounciation of Ke$ha? She pronounced it KEESHA.
First I wondered where Paige Thomas purchased her outfit from Wednesday's show and then I wondered how she packed the hat she wore on last nights show.
Mario had way more screen time than KKO did and I was fine with that decision.
Weird camera angle when they shot KKO.  Really really odd.

I can't believe I missed Khloe Kardashian's nipple scandal on X Factor Wednesday night.  Damn Hurricane Sandy.  If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be watching TV by a majority rules vote in our house and I wouldn't have been watching Survivor or Modern Family, I would have been watching X Factor right from the 8pm start and I would have seen Khloe's nip first hand and had great fodder for the blog.  Damn you Sandy...again.  It's one thing to decimate towns, leave us all without power and cable and make us wait on line for hours for gasoline, but when you start messing with juicy TV stuff, you've truly crossed the line.

Tonight, NBC Universal and HBO will preempt our regularly scheduled programming to air a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief.  So far Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi and Sting are all scheduled to perform.  So get out your checkbooks and start donating.

If you are like me and suffering without power due to the lovely Sandy, I strongly recommend following PSE&G on Twitter.  These guys are using social media the right way and tweeting as towns are getting power back.  Sure I was jealous when Metuchen and Irvington and Roseland got power, but I was also hopeful and continue to feel happy just knowing that power WILL be back...people ARE working on it...kudos to PSE&G for using social media the right way...great job guys!  (Hoping these shout outs help get me one town closer to power...JUST KIDDING!)

USA cancelled Fairly Legal...that wasn't the one with Matt Bomer right? Which one was that again?  They all sound and seem alike to me...legal drama with some sort of twist.

Friday's Trivia Question: What is Doug & Carrie's last name?

Have a great weekend!
