Lindsay Lohan really did seem normal on Million Dollar Decorators the other night. I Tivo'ed it and caught up on the show last night. She bought a cute house and hired Kathryn to find fabric and a home for about 50 pairs of sunglasses and 1000 bags. Remind me again how she has any money left to buy and furnish a house? The budget was 250K. Didn't she spend all her dough on lawyers? No big reveal yet, because every time she goes to pick out drapes the paparazzi follows her and she has to leave. So funny how Kathryn's son's decided to tag a long with their Mom on these business meetings when they've NEVER gone on any other ones. Lindsay didn't even seem to mind.
Finally back with a new episode, one of my fave new shows, Guys with Kids. It's just a simple sitcom that my family can all watch together. It's easy, funny and cute. This was a good episode. A bit "How I Met Your Mothery", but good nonetheless. Through flashbacks we found out that: Nick, Emily and Chris all went to Colgate together. Nick proposed because he got Emily pregnant. They all met when they shared a hospital room during the birth of their kids. It was Marni's idea to name Emily and Nick's daughter Violet. Chris's ex-girlfriend was a beautiful blond named Sage. Gary ex-Nanny punched him in the mouth which explains the chipped tooth, and Baby Ernie's first word was "Sage" not "Mommy" which killed Sheila. Oh and did I mention that we still die laughing every time Marni and Gary say their son's name...Yoda? We do.
I thought Nashville was new last night, but they tricked me with a recap episode, so I went to bed a bit early. Yeah for me!

-Some 2012 Year End Trendrr Stats:
- Trendrr measured more than 800 million social interactions around TV programs on their day of air
- Add in chatter that occurred off air and the number increases into the billions
- August was the most interactive month thanks to 17 days of the Summer Olympics
- Every month of 2012 drew at least double the number of social interactions than in the same month of 2011
- Social TV chatter grew 800% on Twitter in 2012
- As for the Networks, NBC had 150 million interactions, ABC & FOX with 75 million each and CBS with 60 million. ESPN had 50 million and MTV 40 million
- The Top 5 shows with the most social activity: Spongebob Squarepants -25 million social interactions, The X Factor-17 million, The Voice-11.5 million, WWE Raw-11 million & Pretty Little Liars-10.5 million
- Pretty Little Liars holds the record for most social interactions for a single episode with 1.52 million for its mid season finale

- 9% with show cast members. I try, but they don't chat back most of the time, if they did, Jimmy Fallon would be at my house by now!

- 14% started watching a program because of chatter on Twitter. At the bottom of the list were social check-in services like Viggle (2%), Foursquare (1%), GetGlue (1%), and IntoNow (1%). Actually, nope to all of these.
- Facebook is better with females (49% start watching a TV show due to chatter on the social network versus 43% of males), while Twitter holds more influence over males (16% versus 12% of females). I'm a female and yes, I absolutely agree with this stat.
-Last week, 50 million IOS and Android smartphones and tablets were activated and 1.76 BILLION Apps downloaded. I personally activated 2 in my family and have 2 more to do. At that point the Carruba family (including my parents) will all be on smartphones! My stepfather is making the big jump from his ancient flip phone to a Blackberry...hey...baby steps right?
-There are 425 million devices connected to the web inside US households. Most are computers (183.8 million connected to the web), but these are decreasing and being replaced by connected gaming consoles (39 million), Blu-ray players (12.9 million), and TVs (16 million), as well as tablets (31.8 million) and smartphones (133 million).
