I don't know what I was thinking...I really don't.  I'm sure like most of you, last night was sort of a bummer.  You know, the last night before life goes back to normal.  Back to work, back to school, and back to getting up at 5am. So if all that wasn't bad enough, I had to suffer through a stressful Knicks game in which they of course they lost in the last 14 seconds of the game.  Sure I could have gone to bed at the sound of the final buzzer, but did I?  No of course not.  I needed to prolong the agony and watch a new episode of Parenthood instead of turning the lights out.  Look we knew it was coming right?  We knew that at some point Kristina would have to lose that beautiful blond hair and I even had a feeling she'd just shave it all off at some point.  Well this was the episode, and it was really all about the hair for most of the hour.  First we had the bald lightbulby Kristina head and even though Adam said she looked beautiful, it definitely caught me off guard.  So Adam bought her a wig and of course she went mental and made him return it, but then she got her sanity back and bought a reddish/magenta sort of wig and asked Adam to go out on a date.  So they go to some place for drinks and while Adam is at the bar some youngun named Luke hits on Kristina making her the happiest bald chick in the world. Of course Adam comes back and she has to get rid of Luke so she introduces him to her conveniently located friend/waitress Laura...Luke meet Laura...get it?  Funny...ha ha ha.  So she's all in a good mood and Adam's thinking he's gonna get some.  He puts on a Hugh Hefner smoking jacket and lights 3000 candles and just when the party's supposed to get started, Kristina conks out.  She does have cancer but man what a buzzkill.  Poor Adam. Oh and if all that wasn't enough...

Joel & Julia are still over trying with Victor and the road is still pretty bumpy.  Victor threw a baseball bat at Sydney and while he didn't hit her, he did break a window which freaked Julia out so much that she couldn't sleep at all...guess Joel's not getting any either. Are you sensing a theme here?

Hank & Sarah went on a date but Sarah had seen a photo of Mark with a girl on Facebook and that of course ruined the date so they ended up playing cards and eating take out...but at least Hank did get a little action out of the deal.

And if you think Crosby's the only Braverman to get lucky this episode...wrong again.  Jasmine's Mom lost her job and had to move in with them so Crosby's not seeing any action either.  So there I am thinking to myself "well, nobody's going to be getting pregnant any time soon" and then...the scenes for next week.  Drew's girlfriend IS pregnant...O...M...G...I guess next week will be another..."Very Special Episode of Parenthood".  I just had to go to bed after all of this...I put off the inevitable long enough.

NEWS & INFORMATION (Or....all of the stuff that happened while I was chillin)

*Ann Curry was offered a primo anchor position at CNN but now she's gotta beg NBC to let her out of her contract.  They better do it, it's really the least they can do at this point.  Just cut the ties and move on.  Let the woman go and have a shot on CNN.

*NBC passed on The Munsters remake, Mockingbird Lane. Sorry Jerry O'Connell, first Kelly and now this. Is Rebecca working?  One of you guys has to get something soon or those twins are going to community college!

*Totally forgot to watch/DVR Roots on BET.  I've never seen it and really wanted to. I know Kunta Kinte was the guy from Star Trek Next Generation who wore the silver banana clip so he could see, but that's all I know.  Anyway I wasn't the only one who wanted to watch it apparently, 10.7 million people checked it out. I hope they run it again.

*Lots of end of the year lists, which I love.  Here is a good one:
The Top 10 Pirated Shows of 2012
10. Revolution - 2,130,000
9. Fringe - 2,280,000
8. House - 2,340,000
7. Homeland - 2,400,000
6. The Walking Dead - 2,550,000
5. Breaking Bad - 2,580,000
4. How I Met Your Mother - 2,960,000
3. The Big Bang Theory - 3,200,000
2. Dexter - 3,850,000
1. Game of Thrones - 4,280,000
**80% of pirating occurs outside of the United States

*Congrats to Univision for being named  Multiplatform Broadcaster of the Year by Broadcasting and Cable.  I'm happy for them, but I definitely thought Bravo and the CW did a kick ass job this year too.  So if WWTM was giving out awards, they'd win it in my book.  Hey...awards!  Maybe next year, I will have some!  Food for thought.

*Leverage was cancelled by TNT after its 5th season. I'm not a big Timothy Hutton fan and never saw one episode of this show.  None of you guys have ever mentioned this one to me, so assuming nobody really cares that it was cancelled.

* When I heard that How I Met Your Mother was renewed for a 9th season I was actually NOT happy about it.  I want answers damn it.  I don't know about you, but I've had enough of the runaround already.  If Carter Bays reads this (doubtful) or if someone who does read this knows the guy, tell him...the fans are getting pissed off! WHO IS THE MOM??? If you want to keep it going just tell us already go from there.

*You guys know that I don't watch scary stuff, but I know many of you LOVE, The Walking Dead and are relieved to learn that it was renewed for another season but a new showrunner is taking the reigns.  That's usually NOT good news, but hopefully he/she won't mess with success.  With TWD being the number one show this year, it has gotta be making some folks at the network a bit nervous that there is a new showrunner.

*Gangnam Style passed the 1 billion views mark while I was gone.  We knew it was only a matter of time, but seriously aren't we all sick of it by now?  I would think Psy is even sick of it. Now he has Hammer doing it too?  Please...no more Gangnam Style.

*Another thing that was only a matter of time, was the separation of Bethenny and Jason.  I called this one people.  I totally did.  No way that guy could have been happy.  Sad for them, but I knew it was coming. I wonder if Jason gets any of the Skinny Girl dough.  What's he gonna do now?  Just go back to real estate? Booooring Jason.  How about a new reality show...JASON HOPPY'S NEXT CHAPTER. I'd watch it.  Andy Cohen...what'd ya think?

*Jack Klugman passed away over the break. Oscar Madison and Quincy were two shows I was into back in the day. RIP JK

*There seems to be some issues with the new online voting system for the Oscars, so the deadline has been extended. Apparently many of the voters log-ins aren't working so they have to get a paper ballot which gets mailed to them old school.  Maybe this could lead to some sort of interesting movie getting nominated by mistake.  Who knows, but with movies like Lincoln and Les Miserables in the lead, we may need any help we can get to make the show interesting.  I hope Jennifer Garner gets a cool dress for the occasion.  She and Ben and Bradley Cooper and Zoey Saldana are the only celebs at this point that I'm looking forward to on Oscar night.  Daniel Day Lewis? Anne Hathaway?  Jessica Chastain? Do we care?  Maybe Quentin Tarantino will be interesting.

5."29 gold, 17 silver, 19 bronze-we finished 3rd in medal table after most successful Olympics in for 104 years". Team GB-67,000+ Retweets

*True story that happened over the break that only you guys could appreciate:  My home phone rang (yes, I still have a land line) and when I saw that THE FALLON COMPANY on the caller ID, I started screaming like a lunatic in my house (nobody was home to witness this. unfortunately) "OMG it's Jimmy, it's Jimmy...he's calling!  He's coming for the sleepover...OMG...OMG"  Of course I answered the phone with a nervous shaky voice and it WAS The Fallon Company, but not THAT one...this one was willing to offer me significant savings on my electric bill, but a sleepover was out of the question.  It was funny, and of course I was crushed that it wasn't my FBFF calling to share chips and salsa.  Jimmy...if you are reading this...you are killing me!  How about if we watch The Superbowl together?

I intend to write a special report on my newest obsession, Sons of Anarchy, so be on the look out for that soon.  All I can say is that I watched 66 episodes in under 3 weeks.  What an awesome, insane, crazy violent, sometimes confusing, addictive show.  I'm not sure how many of you watch it, so I don't want to bore you all here with my babbling commentary.  If you watch it, definitely let me know.  I have to talk to someone about it. I have a ton of questions.
