Well, I'm certainly glad that Hart of Dixie is coming back next season because if last nights season finale was the series finale, I'd be really pissed off. First we had the zany hunt for LeVon's kidnapped alligator, Burt Reynolds...ridiculous. Then Lemon and Wade went on a road trip to find the band Gloriana and have them perform at the Rammer Jammer which would have been stupid except that Wade realized he not only loves Zoey, but needs her back. George seems to have completely blown off being a lawyer and is now a singer, songwriter headed out on the road to forget Zoey Hart and if all that wasn't enough, now Jonah Breeland has a thing for Dr. Zoey too. Zoey ended the season by blowing off Brick, who's recovering from surgery, the practice she worked so hard to build up, Wade, LeVon and Bluebell to head to NYC where apparently you can just call in a favor and work the Summer for an old boss who fired her and sent her to Bluebell in the first place. WTF? She better come back to Bluebell and head back to Wade where she belongs. This is bullsh*t.
The Voice
Night #2 of The Voice live shows and Carson's hair was still wayyyy too puffy, not sure if its his shampoo/conditioner combo but somethings odd with his doo. Usher's leg was in position, Shakira was actually showing a little cleavage, which as you now this season, has been lacking compared to any of the previous Xtina seasons. Of course Adam and Blake looked amazing as usual. Last night was Team Blake vs. Team Shakira. Blake bonded with his team via a night of Karaoke which looked kinda fun, then the team performed a country tune I never heard of. Team Shakira sang "We are the Champions" which was pretty good when they sang their individual parts...once they attempted to harmonize it didn't work at all.
Team Shakira: Garrett Gardner sang "Imagine" The lip ring bugged me but he did a great job on such an iconic song. Thumbs up!
Team Blake: Holly Tucker sang "How Do I Live" makes you realize just how good LeAnn Rimes really is even though she's a husband stealing anorexic.
Team Shakira: Kris Thomas sang one of current faves "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars, unfortunately he didn't do it justice. Still liked hearing it though.
Team Blake: The Swan Brothers sang "Fishing in the Dark" and they were adorable and awesome! I love them.
Holy cow...How good did Shakira look when she was singing "I Need You Now" with Blake? She JUST had a baby! Their voices didn't harmonize well, but they were still great.
Team Shakira: Karina Iglesias sang "Lets Stay Together". Best Mohawk and best performance of the night at this point.
Team Blake: Justin Rivers sang "Meet in the Middle" Great performance...
Team Blake: Danielle Bradbery sang "Maybe it was Memphis" seemed like she's been singing for years. She made it seem effortless and she's only 16. She could win this thing.
Team Shakira: Sasha Darling sang "Oh Darling" and killed it.
NEWS & INFORMATION:
-The Office's series finale next week, May 16th to be exact, has been extended by 15 minutes. Supersize is back...just for one night, actually just for one episode...the one where we say goodbye to the Dunder Mifflin gang. I gave up The Office when Pam and Jim had the baby, but I will be watching the finale. Hoping Steve Carell does show up.
-16.2 million people watched the Kentucky Derby on NBC. I was not one of them. The race was the 2nd most watched ever and up 9% vs. last year.
-Gotta say...I'm happy with the choice for a younger, more relevant Faith Hill for NBC's Sunday Night Football...Carrie Underwood. Makes complete sense to me. I wonder if Tim McGraw feels the same way?
-I lost interest in Splash a few weeks ago, but I always finish what I start. So...Rory Bushfield beat out Nicole Eggert for the Championship...who watched every episode? I need to know.
-For those of you guys out there that remember MTV when it played videos, and remember Nina, Alan, JJ, Mark and Martha, you may want to download or pick up their new book. All of them (except JJ who died a few years ago) were on Howard Stern yesterday (and a few other places) to promote their new book: VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV's First Wave. Of course I downloaded immediately. I'm sure it will take me a while to read it, especially since I'm in the midst of season finales and upfronts but I can't wait to check it out. Here's the link if you're like me and remember the original moon man with his flag! http://www.amazon.com/VJ-Unplugged-Adventures-MTVs-First/dp/1451678126/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368012935&sr=8-1&keywords=vj+the+unplugged+adventures+of+mtv%27s+first+wave
-Inside the Actors Studio will be celebrating its 250th episode on Bravo at the end of the month with a 2 hour special. Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, JLo, Barbar Walters, Jay Leno, Conan'OBrien and more will be on hand to tell us their favorite curse word (for the record mine is MotherF*cker) and what would God say to you when you got to the pearly gates...I love James Lipton...congrats bud!
-I haven't checked this one out yet, but TV Guide Digital's newly redesigned Android app includes a "Watchlist" feature that helps you find out where you can check out your favorite TV shows. When you add a show, sports team, actor, or movies to the Watchlist, it will tell you on a single screen, all the different ways to see it, including TV, on demand, streaming, and DVD. The Android app also links users to apps for HBO Go, Max Go, Hulu Plus, The CW, and Crackle, in order to get to their favorite shows/movies quickly. TV Guide Digital says additional video sources will be added during the next few weeks.
