Survivor
Before I go into what went on during the actual PLAYING of the game of Survivor last night, I have to go off on something. How is it that Monica has such PERFECT hair, teeth and skin in every episode? Have they instituted some sort of hygiene regimen for the players that we don't know about? Don't you remember how disgusting everyone used to look? They were always so dirty and picking at their teeth and stuff. That entire component of the game seems to have gone by the wayside especially when it comes to Monica. I mean are they giving her Crest White Strips? Her teeth are PEARLY white! Okay, rant over. There were two immunity challenges in last nights episode. First one, was a food competition and it was one of the grossest ones I've ever seen.
Round 1-40 live meel worms? Vytas threw um up and then RE-ATE them!!! Ewwwwwww
Round 2-40 MORE live meel worms
Round 3-3 ounces of Pig Intestines
I could barely look at my TV
Round 4-2 giant live grubs for the win. Gervais vs. Monica and the necklace went to Monica and I'm guessing she got to brush her teeth right after the competition. Vytas and Monica went at it during tribal and Vytas was sent to redemption to go up against his bro. Back at camp everyone was disturbed that Monica didn't do what she was told, so I thought for sure it would be a no brainer once we got to the next tribal council, but that wasn't the case. The second immunity challenge was one we've seen before. Balancing various sized coins. All I could see was that disgusting sweat ball on Tyson's nose and the caked in dirt in Siera's finger nails. Maybe there isn't a hygiene regimen after all. Katie, Tina's daughter won immunity and of course, Tina was sent packing. Pairs are more dangerous than a yenta like Monica I guess. They're the biggest targets and now there's only one pair left back at camp, Laura and Siera, but it looks like next week they'll be split apart too.
Modern Family
Wasn't there already a Dunphy anniversary episode? Sure anniversaries happen every year, but I feel like Phil and Claire's was just yesterday, eh what do I know? Anyway this was a big anniversary for Phil and Claire and if you know which one it was 5 bonus points! For some reason, the entire family was at a school carnival. I've been to my share of carnivals and I've never been to one that had fake police who fake arrested people and put them in fake jail for 10 minutes. Why is that fun? Anyway, Luke and Alex had a crush on the new girl in town but between Alex's geekyness and Lukes disturbing hair, she'll never be back. Cam was upset about how crappy his football team is, and Phil was trying to keep Claire at the carnival long enough so he could surprise her with a song. The town pharmacist ruined Phil's plans and kicked ass on a Foreigner song worth 5 bonus points. Manny was competing in a cake decorating contest but Gloria started getting upset that Manny wasn't hanging out with kids his own age and ruined his cake. Manny thought it was some old chick named Enid and the writers snuck a great line in, so under the radar. I'm hoping you caught it. Manny said "I'm going to go right next to Enid's piece of sheet cake." GET IT! Very freaking clever. Phil didn't sing to Claire when all was said and done, but Claire got Chinese acrobats to perform on their front lawn which made Phil very happy. Hailey's always been a pain, but never really considered her a beer drinking b*tch but that's what she was in last nights episode and Andy the Manny wasn't having any of it.
Nashville
Karma's a b*tch isn't it? Juliette's seeing it all first hand. What she did to Rayna is now happening to her and she doesn't like, not one bit. Now that she's not the "it" girl, she's even angrier and honestly I like it. I thought for sure that Olivia Wentworth was going to either slap her, threaten her or beg her to stay away from her husband when she showed up at Juliette's hotel room. Toooootallly didn't see that kiss coming at all! The lines on Nashville are a bit blurry aren't they? Gay male cowboy having sex with a woman and Juliette the straight slutty girl is kissing a woman too. Ya just never know do you? Looks like Scarlett's headed for a bit of trouble. Stage fright and Gunnar's now on the bus with her. Poor Avery. Best part of the show for me though was Deacon finally getting back up on stage and Maddie finally getting to spend a little time with him. They were both struggling so much. Hope they can help one another a bit. Note to the producers...Let Maisy and Lennon sing an entire song! They get 30 seconds and you cut to another scene. Not fair!
NEWS & INFORMATION
-Congratulations to Andy Cohen, or should I say...MAZEL TOV Andy! Yesterday, Bravo announced some big changes for one of my favorite guys. He's giving up his VP of Development gig at Bravo and starting his own production company called Most Talkative (just like his book). Don't worry, Andy's still going to host WWHL every week. In fact the shows been renewed for 2 more years. He's secured a first look deal with his Bravo buds and he'll stay on as Executive Producer for the Real Housewives franchises. The guy loves his housewives I guess. Hard to let them all go.
-When MTV's Real World returns this coming winter, there's a BIG twist. Seven strangers will enter the house in San Francisco and then...their exes will enter as well. Crazy drama I'm sure. Can you imagine having to live with your ex in the Real World house? Talk about intense. I may actually check it out. Last season I watched was Las Vegas with Trishelle.
-Don't you feel SO bad for Matthew Perry? I mean sure he's got Friends money, and hopefully a good business manager, so he doesn't HAVE to work, but he just can't seem to find that hit show. Now he's headed to his Friends house in Cougar Town. Monica and Chandler together again!
-This Saturday on HBO, Mike Tyson's one man stage debut premieres followed by a World Championship Fight where Iron Mike will co-host with Jim Lampley. Could be interesting. I wanted to see that show when it was on Broadway. I better set the DVR for that one. I have plans Saturday night and shockingly they aren't in front of a TV.
-Michael J. Fox is hoping that Brooke Shields will boost his ratings a bit. Brooke's going to do a 3 episode guest appearance on his show. He really needs Heather Locklear. She helped him on Spin City didn't she? He should check his contacts and if Brooke doesn't do the trick, get Heather.

-Must be nice...CEO of Snapchat, 23 year old Evan Spiegel, turned down a 3 BILLION dollar offer from Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook. I guess he thinks he can do better huh?
-Next week on 11/19, Eddie Murphy will be making a very rare talk show appearance on old buddy, Arsenio Hall's late night talk show. Rumor has it he's promoting a new album, maybe Arsenio will get him to sing his one and only hit..."Party All The Time". Remember that one?
-Did Jillian Michaels cheat? Sounds like it, but I sort of feel like it's all a scam to get people to tune in and to get Ruben Studdard back on The Biggest Loser. Jillian broke one of the rules of the show and gave Ruben a caffeine supplement that was not approved. Because of that, Ruben's coming back. I'd have to think that after all these years, Jillian knows what items are and are not approved right? Seems shady to me.
Thursday's Trivia Question: What movies did Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy star in together? One point for each correct answer.
