I'm never sure how far to go with this blog sometimes, but I just can't hold this observation in any longer. So I'm sorry in advance if you're offended in anyway by this, BUT...Aside from the clean skin and teeth that have been driving me nuts all season, have you noticed that all of the women's clothes seem relatively clean EXCEPT around the nipple area of their tops? WTF is happening on that island? Tina's is the worst, but they all have it and it's making me crazy. Also making me nuts...when someone gets voted off at tribal and Jeff and the players keep saying that they were voted out of the game. They're still in it as far as I'm concerned. When you're out...YOU ARE ON THE JURY, YOU ARE CLEAN (salon clean that is) and there's no way you can still win the money. That's when you're out of the game. Did you also notice how perfectly Jeff's crystal necklace matched his J. Peterman cargo shirt? Nice job there Probst. I love Jeff, but I really really feel that he's egging people on and leading them at tribal. He did it last week and again last night. He never used to do that. It didn't work last night though. Monica and her crazy arms, stuck with Tyson and Gervais, and sent Hayden to REDEMPTION (not out of the game). Sunday's the 2 hour finale and it's up against the Homeland and Masters of Sex finale. OY VEY...the Sunday night pressure is already weighing on me. I need this vacation bad.
Modern Family
Bonus question, who directed last nights episode of Modern Family?
Okay, I love Modern Family, you guys know that, but last nights Christmas episode stunk. REALLY. Phil on the elliptical to Canada ehhh okay. Luke and his pube head had a million bags of garbage in the garage and NOBODY noticed or smelled it? COME ON! The entire Hailey and Alex thing in the mall with Santa was ridiculous. Jay and Manny chopping down a tree in the woods, lame. Gloria's Mom and Claire. What, did Julie Bowen need to let us know she made it to the advanced Bikram class with that headstand? The only somewhat funny part (in my opinion that is) was Cam and Lily at the fundraiser thinking they were there to help, but people thought they were the needy ones. The Puppy Pound/guppy pond bit was ridiculous. I mean who wants a guppy pond? I'm really annoyed that the one bad episode this season so far, was the holiday episode. C'mon writers that one's supposed to be GOOD!
Nashville
Who'd a thought we'd all feel so bad for Juliette Barnes? We loved hating her and yet I'm feelin bad for her. I mean who goes to a concert and holds up a "Homewrecker" sign? Then she finally realizes how she feels for Avery and Avery knows he feels the same way for her but doe eyed ribbon laces Scarlett's there to ruin everything. Scarlett's bugging me. Loved Deacon putting on his own gig outside the festival with Gunnar with a big "F" you to Teddy. Deacon's TOOOO HOT! I don't even care about Rayna and Edgehill and Jeff and mortgaging the house. Boooring. So let me get this straight, Will Lexington would rather throw himself in front of a train than be gay? That's a tough way out yeesh. Is Peggy really dead? That would suck for Teddy and for Brad Paisley who I'm sure was happy to have his wife outta the house and earnin a check for a little while.
NEWS & INFORMATION
-Here comes another rebranding...this time it's A&E Networks Bio Channel (formerly Biography I guess) which will become FYI this Summer. The "F" is definitely FOR and the "Y" is definitely YOUR but the "I" could be inspiration, imagination, or innovation. Nancy Dubuc is saying that the network will be a personal experience for every viewer. Not sure exactly how that plays out, but if she'd like me to program it for her (and me)...I'm in!
-Showtime already renewed Episodes for another season. Yeah! I love that show. In case you haven't seen it or don't remember which one this is, it's the one with Matt LeBlanc as himself working with 2 Brits on a show called Pucks. It's hilarious. If you haven't seen it, I recommend a binge-ing of it.
-I enjoyed NBC's Sound of Music event, you know that and NBC's airing it again Saturday night so watch it if you've got nothing goin on. But, there's nothing like the real thing and ABC's airing it on 12/22. So most likely, I'll be there watching Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer doin there thing because the original Sound of Music was and will always be THE best Sound of Music.
