Good News/Bad News for President Obama. The Good News: The State of the Union Address WAS seen by 33.3 million people. The Bad News: That's the lowest viewership in 14 years. Could have been everyone was busy trying to sign up for Obamacare? Buh dum bum. (joke telling's not my strength)

THE SHOWS
American Idol
There wasn't much on at 8pm last night so I figured I'd check out American Idol for 30 minutes and then flip over to Suburgatory. I don't remember the last time I watched Idol, but I know it's been a LONG time. I've been hearing that Harry Connick Jr.'s the best thing ever, so I figured...why not. I admit it, I did like the judges. I mean sure Keith Urban's hair bugged me as did J-Lo's headband, but the judges aren't crazy nice, they seem to be just honest whether they're delivering good or bad news to the contestants. The thing is, I'm just done in general with these shows. It's all the same old, same old. We get it, there are a lot of talented people out there, but it's tough to be a star and keep the momentum going. In looking at the list of Idol winners,Voice winners and X Factor winners, there are only a handful that are still around. I mean how many can you actually name? I'm still not willing to make the commitment to any of these shows anymore, but it wasn't painful tuning in for a while.
Suburgatory
This post break-up George/Jeremy Sisto wasn't something I was enjoying. The hair, the sweatpants and worst of all: socks with sandals. (Men...this is never acceptable) were killing me. George seemed to be falling apart and even started using a stadium buddy. Tessa was doing too well after her break-up with Ryan and was concerned about George so she told his Daddy on him and he came running. I'm having trouble placing the actor who played George's dad, but I know I know him. Anyway, George's Dad got George off the couch and ready to tap the dog walker, so at least sad George is gone for now. Unfortunately now it's Tessa's turn to eat a tub of Forefatter Glace (that was the name of the ice cream she was chowing do on) now that Ryan came home for a visit and brought along a very Tessa-like girlfriend. Luckily, Georges lie that the stadium buddy leaked all over the couch, got Tessa off IT and into the shower and hopefully by next episode into someone else. With Enlisted tanking over on FOX, she could be back into Ryan at some point soon.
THE OTHER STUFF
The late night wars are totally heating up and I gotta admit the viewers are the lucky ones. So many great options. I'm currently TiVOing Kimmel, Fallon and Andy Cohen but there's so much going on between 10p and 1a that I might need to give up sleeping. On Feb 6th, Matt Damon is returning to Jimmy Kimmel for the first time since he BRILLIANTLY hijacked the show in January 2013. The entire cast of Monuments Men will be joining him including everyone's fave, George Clooney. Set your DVR people it's gonna be good, I know it. Also, if you haven't see the Damon hijacking episode, you really should.
I can't take all the credit but I feel like I need to take some. Jerry Seinfeld's web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee just hit the 25 MILLION streams milestone. 25 million streams! Amazing right? The shows already been renewed for at least 2 more seasons and Jerry says he'll keep doing it until he doesn't want to do it anymore. Must be nice. I for one am thrilled as you know. This weeks edition with Tina Fey hasn't been posted yet, so I'll throw the link up tomorrow.
I know quite a few David Boreanaz lovers who will be happy as clams that Bones has been renewed for a 10th season. I had no idea Bones has been on that long. I guess Boreanz is doing pretty well then huh?
Last night on my FBFF's show, a hilarious Full House reunion. Check out Jimmy's PJ's, Dave Coulier's impressions, Michelle's bedroom bear, how much John Stamos looks EXACTLY the same as he did in 1989. Plus...one more great surprise. http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/blogs/2014/01/full-house-guys-reunite-on-jimmy-fallon/

Superbowl commercials are here! Here's my fave so far. Anything with a puppy pretty much wins in my opinion. What'd you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQB7QRyF4p4
Isn't it funny that no matter how serious Mark Wahlberg wants us to take him we still refer to him as Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch? I find it funny. Anyway, Marky Mark will be hosting the Kids Choice Awards on March 29th in LA withOUT the Funky Bunch.
I was reading an article about how binge viewing is bad for our health. Duh, we all know that sitting on our couches or in our beds and watching an entire season or the entire series of Breaking Bad or Friday Night Lights can't possibly be good for our bodies, thanks for the big news guys. I did love this video though. Probably one of the only things I've ever understood on Portlandia. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njr3aFpTMyQ
Due to IOC regulations, this Olympic spot could be pulled down by the time you click on it. As of 6:37am it was working. It's worth seeing. Pretty powerful and I'm guessing the story will play out throughout the games.

Thursday's Trivia Question: Prior to this Superbowl, what city held the COLDEST outdoor Superbowl? Bonus if you know (without Googling) the temperature.
