THE SHOWS

NBA Finals Game 1
The Warriors KILLED the Cavs last night and to be honest, I'm actually rooting for the Cavs. Once I realized the game was officially a blowout, I went to bed. Jimmy Kimmel's Pre-Show was the best part of the night. Jimmy got in the tub with Mariah Carey and had topless dudes feed them both champagne and grapes. No matter how many times I see Mariah's million carat engagement ring, I still say...outloud..."that thing is hugggggggge" in my best Donald Trump voice. It's 35 carats and her billionaire fiance spent 10 mil on that thing. If the ring and the bath weren't enough, we also got the 4th Edition of NBA Mean Tweets. Live Kelly (no with)
On Wednesday and Thursday, Kelly's co-host was Anderson Cooper. AC and KR are BFF's in real life. They go to each other's houses on the weekend, they have drinks together after work, Anderson had some of Kelly's son's birthday cake. They're close, and that's why they are awesome on the air together. Would I love them together every day? Probably. I'd worry that if ratings went down and Keilly OR Anderson had to go, they'd never drink poolside Margarita's together again, but if nobody really cares about that,  then hire Anderson Cooper and get the new mugs ready now. 

I Am Jazz
I discovered Jazz Jennings and her incredible family 2 years ago. Jazz is a transgender teenager. She and her family live in Florida and went public with Jazz's story when she was a little and Barbara Walters came knocking. Now, Jazz is entering high school. If you're a reality junky, if you're into Caitlyn Jenner, if you really want to see the best of families and you want to meet a beautiful, eloquent, intelligent, interesting person, set your DVR for I am Jazz. It's not just Jazz and her parents, but her grandparents, her 2 brothers and her older sister who all never cease to amaze in their undying love and support for Jazz and each other. Everytime I watch this show I am overwhelmed by how simple it should all be to just love unconditionally. Love and acceptance...it's really just that simple. 

THE OTHER STUFF

-I'm totalllllly looking forward to the second season of Unreal next week. The show's already been given the nod for a 3rd season which must mean that Season 2 is even juicier than Season 1 was. Hope you guys are all caught up on Season 1. If not, it's supposed to rain on Sunday. If your diligent, and put everything else aside, you can pound this one out and be done before the Game of Thrones music starts.

-We've all just assumed that because Julie Andrews was great with the Von Trapp kids and with the Banks kids in Mary Poppins that she'd probably be great with our own kids too. Come on, you know when you were hiring a babysitter or a Nanny you thought "why couldn't she be like Maria?" Well, someone must have done a study and now, Julie's coming to Netflix with "Julie's Greenroom," a show for the little's in your life. Julie will be working with Muppets, Jim Henson's peeps are involved.  Sounds like a winner. Of course my "little" will be 15 in 2017 so I'll have to use the blog as my reason to check it out.

-Back in the day, we had REAL late night wars. Johnny Carson banned Joan Rivers from the Tonight Show for LIFE when she took a job over on the new FOX network. Jay Leno hid in closets and played all sorts of games to take Johnny's chair away from David Letterman. Who could forget the Conan/Jay insanity. These days, there's nothing but love in Late Night. The Jimmy's, James, Stephen & Seth all seem to get along, have drinks together and appear on each other's shows. Jimmy Kimmel did Stephen Colbert's show and next week, James Corden's going to appear against himself at 12:30 on Seth Meyers show.  Ratings? Who cares? Eye of the Tiger? Nope, these guys aren't into that. Just laughs and love. That's what this new generation is all about. Laughs and Loves. I miss the Late Night War drama...there, I said it.
