-LIVE WITH KELLY is currently on hiatus and running pre-recorded shows until April 2. When they return on 4/2, they will be doing a week of shows from Banff British Columbia. When they finally get back to NYC, on April 9, Kelly and her yet to be named co-host will be walking into a brand new studio. I don’t really love the pre-recorded shows that much.  You can see the edited pieces as yesterday Kelly and Dana Carvey (I am not rooting for him but I am guessing he is in the running at this point) had 3 different outfits on…some with necklace some without…to be honest…I pretty much fast forwarded through the entire show.

-I did finally get suckered into Lady Gaga and her Mom’s 2 hour interview with Oprah.  I wouldn’t say I am a crazy Lady Gaga fan…I do like her music and I really had a whole new perspective of her after she did the Howard Stern show, but I have to admit, when I watched this interview, she is the real deal.  She is super talented, she really does not seem to be in it for the money. She understands fame pretty well…how to deal with it and more importantly how to use it for making a real difference in the world.  I think she is doing everything she can to get her anti-bullying/be true to yourself message out there.  Her family seems to be all that’s important to her, she doesn’t even own her own home or apartment…when she is home…she stays with her parents.  (I guess they don’t mind since she’s probably never really home much).  I wish Oprah wasn’t the one who interviewed her because I felt like she Oprahized Gaga and what she was trying to do…but it was compelling TV and I’m glad I watched it.

-Next up was COUGAR TOWN…I’m not sure, but I think we all got blindsided.  Did we just officially witness the jumping of the shark moment when we found out that Grayson has a baby daughter?  This really can’t work out well for the show at all…Lets stay focused writers…these guys are big drinkers…we already know that the show stinks when Stan (Ellie’s kid) is in an episode…now another kid??? Named Tampa??? There must be some mistake…really…or maybe the cast and crew are officially throwing in the towel and they know they aren’t being renewed so this was the big F you to us all?  I just didn’t see it coming and am really not happy about it…wait…maybe it was a dream episode and next week Grayson wakes up to find everyone still drinking at the bar or something…please say it isn’t so…please say the shark hasn’t jumped on this one…

-Okay, I officially have a problem…Jimmy Fallon…my Jimmy Fallon who needs to sleep over for some platonic fun and snacks, was part of the plot on last night’s JOAN & MELISSA and…I can’t believe I am saying this…he was a jerk to Joan…could that really have happened?  Basically Joan flew in from LA to be on the JIMMY FALLON show.  She was sorta bummed out about her birthday (she turned 78) and was really looking forward to being on with Jimmy.  While she was in the make-up chair getting ready for the show, Jimmy himself comes in to tell Joan he is bumping her for Whitney Cummings…really Jimmy?  I didn’t think he was really that nice about it either.  I know I can’t bring this up right when he gets to my place, but after a couple of cocktails and some pigs in a blanket…I am bringing this up with him…you can’t treat Joan that way and get away with it.  Also on the show last night was Perez Hilton who lost a ton of weight and now looks like a full size version of one of my favorite little people…Peter Dinklage…Peter is cuter.  After all was said and done, Joan, Melissa and Cooper celebrated Joan’s birthday Go-Karting, eating the largest pizza I have ever seen and having birthday cake…that’s the party that Cooper her 10 year old grandson planned for her and she was cool with it.  Next week is the season finale already…so sad

-Yahoo! has released the numbers from its promotional campaign for THE HUNGER GAMES that ran across Yahoo! Movies and other entertainment properties. Yahoo! delivered over 7 million streams of THE HUNGER GAMES content between March 9 to March 14. This included the live-stream of the film's red carpet world premiere event on March 12. In addition, more than 10% of the streams came from mobile devices. Viewers from 160 countries streamed the live red carpet premiere, in total generating over 1 million streams on the day of the event. Have you guys read the books?  They are all amazing…we can’t wait to see the movie this weekend!

-As you can see from the Trendrr numbers, the PRETTY LITTLE LIARS season finale was huge socially on Monday night, generating the most social media buzz for any regularly scheduled series in the history of television. The show received an impressive 32,000 tweets per minute at its peak, a total of 645,000 for the hour and nearly 1.6 million over the course of Monday’s all day catch up marathon.
-Has anyone being seeing all the promos and ads for this show DUCK DYNASTY?  It premiere’s tonight on A&E. It is a show about a Louisiana backwoods millionaire family who made their money in a duck calling business…this alone was enough for me to TiVo it.  I will hopefully have a report for you tomorrow…who knew there was big money in duck calling paraphernalia?

I haven’t read through all of this yet, but for anyone interested in the TV Pilot Season, check out the link below.  It has a synopsis of all 2012 pilots out there right now…remember out of all of these pilots only a handful ever make it to air and only 2-3 will become hits…see if you can pick out the one you think will make it…let me know.

-Glad to see my friends at the CW are moving forward with how to best leverage their 3 screen audiences…while they had always been forward thinking as to how their audiences consume their content, now hopefully they will be able to prove via measurement that these audiences are exactly where we thought they were.  The CW has signed on with Rentrak.  Rentrak is currently considered a leader in the multimedia screen measurement arena.  They focus on serving the advertising, television and entertainment industry.  I am all for this sort of thing…as audiences consume program content on multiple screens it’s going to be more and more important to capture all of the viewing and aggregate it rather than continue to only value traditional viewing, especially when on the other screens the ads cannot be skipped and viewers are almost forced to view and engage.

-That quirky show PORTLANDIA over on IFC has been renewed for another season.  I always forget that I want to go back and check this show out again…I just didn’t get it the first few times I watched it...

Tuesday’s Trivia Question: I have been thinking about TV maids/housekeepers and assistants lately and thought it would be a good theme week…I just forgot to get to it…so let’s try one and see how it goes…there are plenty to choose from, but for today…Whose maid/housekeeper was Rosario?

Tuesday’s NCAA Blog Only Trivia Question: Who set a record for scoring 61 points in an NCAA College Tournament game?
