I was really surprised that none of the judges turned around for single Mom, Trevanne Howell on The Voice last night.  Aside from her obvious talent, I was sort of hoping she could hook up with the single Dad from Monday's show.  How awesome would that have been, Blind Auditions/Blind Date...a Voice spin off. I don't think Xtina knew the words to "Wild World" by Cat Stevens. When Collin McLaughlin asked everyone to sing along with him she couldn't do it.  He was good, but really sweaty and that's a deal breaker for me. I didn't think Joselyn Rivera was all that, but Xtina and Blake did. I think Blake only pushed his button because Xtina pushed hers. I didn't love Joselyn, but I did love her purple top. Ya think they have that at Target? Benji was next with "Knocking on Heaven's Door".  He was a really good screamer, but I forgot about his screaming once I saw CeeLo and his lavender socks.  I guess CeeLo just doesn't like to wear shoes of any kind. Next distraction, Xtina's fan. Is she hot all the time or is it a prop? I felt bad for 52 year old Lorraine Ferro even though she was ultra annoying.  She did have a great attitude though.  Last performer of the evening had the perfect sob story. 40 year old Mycle (yes I am spelling it right) Wastman whose parents died, was raised by his Grandfather who died a week ago OY.  Good news though...he was awesome and made it onto Team CeeLo.  I loved Blake's comment at the end of the show...he's feeling "losery" because he couldn't get anyone to choose him.  He still only has 7 people on his team.  Nice to know that even big time, hot, country music stars have low self esteem.

Go On...I can't...I just can't...sorry, I hate it. I took the half hour to play around on YouTube.  Lucky for me I did.  I found another delightful video from my future BFF...Jimmy Fallon.  Check this one out.

SUPER DUPER PARENTHOOD SPOILER ALERT: Ya know...yesterday, my boss Elizabeth and I were talking about Parenthood and she said that it's always such a sad show to go to bed to.  I defended it and stuck up for it and then...BOOM the saddest freaking episode and I'm up all night rocked from the show's shocking twist.  Why writers?  Why?  This one just hit way too close to home for me.  The episode started out like any normal Parenthood episode.  Amy broke up with Drew on the first day of school. I was pissed off at Amy and sad for Drew and really just want this kid to have a great senior year and catch a break already. Of course his Mom was obsessed with it and couldn't stop trying to help but Ray Romano was the weird voice of reason and did the helping instead.  Julia and Joel are dealing with Victor, their adopted son. He obviously has trust issues so Julia sat outside of his school all day, because she told him she would and didn't want to break a promise.  Seemed like that did the trick and I'm feeling good about things with them.  I had some issues with Julia because over the weekend I read that the actress that plays Julia, is a Scientologist in real life, but I got over it.   Adam and Christina are the couple that plan EVERYTHING, no spontaneity at all (hmmm is there something wrong with that?)  Crosby and Jasmine are the opposite...they schedule nothing and end up forgetting Jabar at school, so Crosby learns his lesson and starts scheduling stuff on calendars.  We're on a roll, I'm feeling good and then...Christina goes for a mammogram and is diagnosed with breast cancer.  SHOOT ME! They were supposed to get a puppy...not breast cancer. Now I'm being asked to tune in to a "very special episode of Parenthood" next week. Of course I'll be there, but I'm not happy.

I know we are all very excited for this Sunday and the Emmy Awards, (get your ballots in people!!!) but for anyone who cares about that OTHER big awards show...the Oscars, the nominees will be announced on January 10th (I'll be right there ready to report them all to you) and the winners will be announced on Sunday February 24th (and I'll be right there to provide very witty commentary).  Mark your calendars now...or don't. You know I'll remind you again as it all gets closer.

Another big reminder for tonight actually.  Season premiere of Survivor and Season finale of Big Brother.  Not mention X Factor. Yeesh big night people!
