Saturday night's Wedding Band episode was my favorite to date. As you know I love a good boy band. If you've been reading this blog for a while, then you know that my favorite boy band of all time is The Backstreet Boys. (Sure you could argue for N-Sync or even One Direction, but net net...for me...it's Nick, AJ, Howie, Kevin and Brian.) So when Mother of the Bride had to cover for the hot Seattle Backstreet Boys cover band, Just a Crush, after locking them in a closet because they stole Courtney Love's instruments, I was a happy camper. Just a Crush and Mother of the Bride both performed, The Backstreet Boys biggest hit, "I Want it That Way". Of course I would love to post the video for you to see, but TBS isn't reading this blog and doesn't know how much is pisses me off that they don't make the videos available anywhere. I won't go on my normal weekly rant about how stupid this is and that TBS is missing the boat...just not going to bore you with that tirade for another week. What I will let you know is that Keckingers disease which was the fundraising event the bands were playing for in this episode...isn't real. I googled it to be sure...it was pretty convincing...but no...it's a faux disease. Just in case you were wondering.
Sunday, I watched a few more episodes of Sons of Anarchy and then tuned in to the second to last episode of Homeland which picked up exactly where it left off last week, with Carrie in shock and looking for Abu Nazir in a warehouse. Brody was back with Jess going through the motions of fake grieving over Walden's death, Jess realizing she'll now never be the VP's wife and and that they were out of milk, Chris playing video games and Dana freaking out that she needs to get the hell out the super cool apartment, go back to school and have Mike be her Daddy. I love how this show centers around Homeland security and yet security seems to be the one thing we can't get right. Take the "safe" apartment that the Brody family is in. It seems some people can come and go at will. Then you have the lie detector guy learn that there is going to be an execution of a US Congressmen but he leaves it out of the report. Then Carrie is able to just walk into question Roya when she wasn't supposed to. All Abu Nazir had to do to come into the states was bag his turban and glasses and boom...he's walking the streets of DC. When Carrie goes back to find Nazir in the tunnels the security guys listen to her over their superior officers. I could keep going, as you know...Some security. SPOILER ALERT: The good news is Abu Nazir is dead...the bad news is Abu Nazir is dead which means you know who they are after in the season finale...poor Carrie, I don't think she's slept in 2 years. This show rocks.

-I had never heard of "Over the Top" until it was put into context in this chart. I don't do this but I am surprised at how many people are doing it.
-I can't promise that this is the last of my Black Friday/Cyber Monday reports because I still find it all pretty interesting. It's also part of my job to provide this kind of stuff so skip this section if it bugs you. For the first 32 days of the November/December 2012 holiday season, online spending is at 21.4 billion. Compared to the same days in 2011 this is up 14%. The number of buyers was up 9% over 2011 to 128.7 million and the average amount spent per buyer was up 5% to $165.90. (I spent WAY more than that!)
-This was always one of my favorite Xmas songs...always, and now that my FBFF has added it to his repertoire it's even more special to me. Jimmy...what is wrong with you? I SO could have been in this video! I'm great on the Fisher Price xylophone! If you had called, I would have grabbed my Santa hat and headed right over to 30 Rock!
-Duck Dynasty on A&E drew 6.5 million viewers for its season finale that aired last Wednesday at 10p. The record-breaking episode also tallied 3.9 million among A18-49; 3.8 million with A25-54; and 2.0 million A18-34 viewers. The season finale has become the most-watched series telecast in the network's history among all key demos. I am seriously shocked by the success of this one. If you remember, I tried to watch it and just couldn't but apparently a lot of American's can and do!
Monday's Trivia Question: Since this coming Sunday is the Homeland Season Finale, James Gabriele, a faithful WWTM Reader thought a week of Homeland Trivia was in order. I have no idea how many of you watch this show, but I'll give it a shot and make some adjustments as the week progresses if necessary.
WWTM-Kristy
