The Voice
Last night on The Voice, Carson's hair was extremely Herman Munster like. I don't understand what's going on with him. Is it the the water? New product? New stylist? I'm so confused and if it were me, I'd be freaking out, but maybe Carson doesn't give a crap about his hair.  Actually, Carson needs to use Shakira's stylist. Shakira's hair has looked amazing week after week, last night included. Adam could provide some product or hair tips...Blake and Usher don't seem to have any hair issues, which brings me back to Carson's hair/makeup person.   Adam and Maroon 5 were sportin their white good humor duds and opened the show with "Love Somebody".  Adam did a quick change out of his ice cream man outfit, put on a slate green button down and got back into the chair in the ready position.  You could tell that Blake, whose home state of Oklahoma was hit hard by the tornado, was reeling from the news and was doing his best to be present for his team, but I'm sure his heart was home with family and friends.

Holly Tucker/Team Blake- Sang "How Great Thou Are" a song I've never heard before and killed it.
Judith Hill/Team Adam-Sang "The Way You Make Me Feel" to honor Michael Jackson who inspired her. Of all the MJ songs she could have chosen, this one was sort of an odd song choice. She did a good job, but it didn't showcase her voice the way a different one of his songs could have.
The Swon Bros/Team Blake sang "How Country Feels" and kicked ass. They too are from Oklahoma. How crazy!  I loved them. I don't think they'll win but they'll do well regardless.
Amber Carrington/Team Adam-"Breakaway". I get Amber and Holly confused. They have similar voices and they look alike. Amber was decent this week, but Holly was better.
Sasha Allen/Team Shakira- sang one of my current faves, "Next To Me". I still think that Sasha always sounds like she's screaming, I guess she did okay...for a screamer.
Josiah Holly/Team Usher-sang "Clocks" I liked it and hope he and Kelly Taylor get back together soon. (Lets see who gets that reference)
Danielle Bradberry/Team Blake- sang "Heads Carolina, Tails California". She's really cute and did a cool thing to her hair, anyone see it?
Kris Thomas/Team Shakira-sang "Adorn" He did a decent job, but definitely not the strongest of the night...he's a goner
Sarah Simmons/Team Adam-sang "Mama Knows Best" a song I had never heard before. She belted IT out. Wow!
Michelle Chamuel/Team Usher-sang "Just Give Me A Reason" I think she's a goner too. Tough song and she didn't nail it, but Usher thought it was the performance of the night. I couldn't disagree with him more.

Rules of Engagement
I was really sad for Rules to end. I've been watching since the beginning, following it all over the place, and I really hoped they wouldn't go for a sappy ending. Well, I would say they didn't...Lots of twists.  Last week Brenda went into labor and while she was in crazy pain delivering baby girl Shea to Jeff and Audrey, Jeff read the sports scores to his pal, worked on fantasy baseball trades and kept everyone calm.  Audrey took one look at Brenda's VaJayJay and threw up.  Outside the delivery room, Adam and Jen followed Ed Begley Jr. around the hospital and got him to marry them in the hospital chapel. Russell forgot to renew Timmy's work visa so Timmy was being deported.  Luckily for everyone, Ed Begley's electric car was still charging and he had some time to marry Adam & Jen in the church chapel AND the perfect ending...Timmy, aka  Timeer Patel and Russell were also wed. Nope they aren't gay, but they really are BFF's and there's no way Russell would ever let Timmy leave him.  All's well that ends well...oh and...Audrey's preggers.  Episode over, Season over, Series over.  Bye guys...I personally enjoyed following you around these past 8 years!  5 point bonus if you can name the song they played at the end of the show last night.

Goodwin Games
If memory serves, I saw the pilot for this show during LAST YEARS upfront. I liked it then, was looking forward to it and checked it out last night. Obviously FOX didn't care for it, but I did (and so did my son). Basically a wacky Beau Bridges died and left his 23 million bucks to only one of his 3 kids. The kids have to compete in various games/challenges to get the money. Okay so it's odd that he recorded all of the challenges on giant Beta Max tapes, but like I said...he was WACKY. Scott Foley is the oldest, he's a pompous doctor who's supposedly engaged to a senator or something. Becky Newton the math wizard hot actress daughter and I have no idea who the youngest Goodwin is, but he's a thief who just got out of jail and has a daughter.  I don't know why I'm watching when I know there's no shot the show will come back to life, but until Big Brother on 6/26...I'm sort of open, so why not?

Game of Thrones
Preparing to watch Game of Thrones is super stressful for me. I have to put all devices down, get 100% focused and pay attention. I don't take any notes and then when I want to write about it, I can't remember any ones name, what family they are part of or anything, so my post usually doesn't do the show justice. All I can say is that my two favorite story lines are the ones with Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons and Tyrion Master of Coin. This past week, both were featured.  Tyrion married Sansa Stark even though he loves Shea the whore and she loves the gay guy.  I wanted to beat the crap out of King Joffrey for taking the stool away so that Tyrion couldn't put the cloak on Sansa...what a d*ck.  Then he basically told Sansa that he was pretty much going to rape her. Super d*ck! Tyrion got hammered at his wedding and while he totally could have performed his husbandly duties (according to him) he told Sansa that he would never share her bed until she wanted him too. Her response..."What if I never want to?" My response "head to Tenafly Tyrion! On the other side of Westeros a very arrogant Second Son or Secret Son or whatever met with Dany to talk about armies and she handled herself beautifully as always. Shocked to see her so naked in the tub but man what a scene with Dario...this could be good! Arya's heading to her Mom and brother courtesy of the Hound who's planning on selling her back to them.Sam finally got some balls and saved the no named baby I guess a guy will grow a pair when in need to impress a woman.  I hate birds, so all of those ravens freaked me out a bit.  Of all the scenes though, I loved when Cersei told off her sister-in-law to be and when Lady Tyrell was spouting out how everyone is related. Again, not doing it justice but it was hilarious.  No Game of Thrones this coming Sunday (Memorial Day Weekend) but then...only 2 episodes left, then the pressure is off for a while.

News & Information:

-CBS postponed the season finale of Mike & Molly last night because it coincidentally featured a tornado. With everything going on in Oklahoma City...probably a good idea. CBS number one in empathy on Monday nights in May!

-Anyone dying to find out what happened on 666 Park Avenue or Zero Hour can find out by either cancelling your Saturday night dinner reservations or just staying home on Saturday nights and watching the final unaired episodes on Saturday nights on ABC.

-Were you dying to find out who the new X Factor judges are? Couldn't wait for the big news? Well...the waiting is over! In addition to Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell, Kelly Rowland and someone named Paulina Rubio will be joining the judges panel. Couldn't care less, won't be watching.

-Just curious...has ANYONE checked out anything on YouTube's Comedy Week yet? I haven't, but I'm dying to know if any one's doing it.

-I need to pat myself on the back just once...Amazon announced which of its pilots got picked up yesterday and my number one choice, Alpha House was one of the two winners. This is the political dramedy starring John Goodman and Mark Consuelos. Yeah for me! I picked a winner and I will absolutely watch the show. The other show greenlit was Beta's but I didn't love that one.

-Seth McFarlane announced yesterday that he will NOT be hosting the Oscars again. According to his Tweets, he needs to catch up on his sleep.

How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother was nearly perfect last night...NEARLY. All was going well. It started with a flashback of Robin Sherbatsky sporting a bowl haircut and looking like androgynous Pat from SNL burying a locket in Central Park with her Dad swearing that one day she was going to dig it up and wear it at her wedding as her "something old". Well, Robin's Dad was in town and while she wanted him to help her find it, he was much more interested in playing laser tag with Barney. So she dug like a mad women.  She called Barney for help, but couldn't seem to get the words out. Meanwhile Ted was helping Marshall and Lily throw out stuff and pack for Italy. He actually used my method...if you haven't touched it in a year...it's a goner. Of course everything had meaning specifically a ripped red bean bag chair.  At one point, a really dirty Robin called Ted as she was losing it trying to find her locket and again couldn't get the words out. Ted was on his way to a job interview since he hasn't worked in at least a season and of course even though Robin didn't say she was freaking, he just knew and found her in all of Central Park in 10 seconds. Of course together they found the locket and the box was somehow empty. Robin took it as a sign and then...wait for it...the show ends with Ted and Robin holding hands with that look.  My guess is that either Barney or Robin's Dad have the locket and dun...dun...dun...again Robin's torn between the Ted and Barney.  Well THAT BETTER NOT BE IT...we were promised a wedding and a Mom by seasons end and we better freaking get them.  Just saying.

Rules of Engagement
Looks like I won't be getting my wish for a perfect series ending of Rules of Engagement...that baby's coming and so is the wedding.  Brenda went into labor just as Jen was putting on her dress, so of course the show ended with a to be continued.  Three great scenes though...Jeff trying to get Brenda to laugh so she will pee in her pants, Adam and Audrey getting a couples massage and Adam wouldn't stop talking, and the Timmy and Russell flashback. Come back Timmy...come back.

The Voice
Yeah! It's the live shows! New outfits...all good! Usher's leg, all dressed up in gray...perched in the upright position.  Shakira looked beautiful as did Adam and Blake. No idea if Carson ran out of Pantene or had a new hair stylist, but he looked like a good looking Frankenstein with that giant forehead and puffed up hair. Usher took his team to a boxing ring, outfitted them in black Voice sweats and super cool red sneakers, but upon freeze framing I can assure you that they were not THE sneakers. Team Usher sang Black & Gold and I thought it stunk. Team Adam sang "Shake it Out" and did a great job. Blake seemed to over do his love for Starbucks an their beverages. Did you catch that?
Then...the competition got under way
Team Adam: Amber Carrington-sang Rhianna's "Stay" - Thumbs Up
Team Usher: Josiah Hawley-sang Muse's  -Thumbs Up
Team Adam: Sarah Simmons-sang "Angel" -Huge Thumbs Up
Team Usher: Cathia sang "I Have Nothing"- Thumbs Up
Lets take a super cool break and watch Adam and Usher perform "Satisfaction". A huge thumbs up!
Team Adam: Caroline Glaser sang "The A Team"- I don't love her
Team Usher: Vedo "Take a Look at Me Now"- Tough song, he did well
Team Adam: Judith Hill-"Feeling Good"-
Team Usher: Michelle Chamuel-"True Colors" - Great job

News & Information:

-HOLY COW...how in the world did I not know that there was a fish tank show war going on? Nat Geo has a fish tank show? Where have I been? Fish Tank Kings premieres 6/1 and I'm setting my TiVO right now via my mobile app. I thought I had some Nat Geo readers. Guess not. Well...a few more weeks I will let you know who wins the war! Very exciting. Of course I'll probably stay loyal to Brett and Wayde. I mean, they are the originals, but I'm still excited to see who the fish tank kings really are. I can't believe I didn't know about this show.

-FOX cancelled Cops after a gazillion seasons, but don't freak out. You can still check in on your favorite local criminals over on Spike TV since they are picking the show up and rescuing it. I'm sure you're all breathing a huge sigh of relief.

-Some Crackle stats:
  • Available in 22 countries, on four continents, in three languages
  • 22 million monthly unique viewers
  • Consuming, on average, 100 minutes per month
  • 60% male/40% female
  • Less than 15% of duplication between Hulu and Crackle's audiences (the only two ad-supported video services featuring long-form programming)

The Knockout rounds began last night. You know what that means right? New judges outfits!!! Everyone was in black.  Adam looked amazing in his black jacket and tie, Usher was also in black with that left knee back up in position, perched where we could all see it. (Super cool red kicks MIA).  Shakira looked beautiful in a black top with a sparkly jacket. and Blake, as always, looked hot in his standard black on black Johnny Cash type deal.

Rules of Engagement
Okay, we finally found out what the straw that would break Timmy's back would be.  Russell put a GPS in him. Yep, he had a microchip implanted into Timmy so he would always know where he was. When Timmy found out, he quit. For real! (Well, on TV for real) and as the credits rolled, Timmy hadn't gone back to work. Could this be the end of Timmy & Russell forever? I hope not! Adam was trying to decide who to chose as his best man for the wedding that hopefully never happens. Of course he only seems to have two friends, Russell and Jeff. He tried testing the guys "Adam knowledge" but of course they both failed. Adam went to Central Park and called them both saying he was stuck on a rock and needed their help. Of course neither one of them got the message or showed up. Adam's so dense he didn't realize what crappy friends he has, but Jeff made it easy for him and came up with the idea of Russell and him sharing the job of co-best men. The other story of the night, Audrey thought Jeff had a thing with this chick from college because of photos on Facebook. Jeff seemed to be able to find her pretty easily and I'm guessing she lived nearby because she stopped by right away and assured Audrey that nothing ever happened between them. Before she left, she told Jeff that she did have a crush on him then and now. When Jeff told Audrey, she didn't believe him at all. Lose/lose for Jeff at this point. Cute episode, but Timmy...PLEASE come back!

How I Met Your Mother
Gotta admit, the writers got their mojo back with this episode. Maybe I'm an idiot, but they totally tricked me! Was I the only one? Barney had pretty much given Ted and Marshall a blue print for the legen...wait for it...dary bachelor party/Bro Mitzvah that he was hoping for. Of course it didn't go at all as planned. It started with a kidnapping, then a horrible hotel room outside AC, a scary clown (I hate clowns), Lily, Quinn for stripping purposes and a surprise Ralph Macchio guest appearance plus Barney lost 85K at the tables. Worst bachelor party ever right? IT WAS ALL A TRICK!!! Robin planned the entire thing and Barney was amazed, but the best surprise was that the weird scary clown was really William Zabka, the guy who played Daniel Son's arch nemesis Johnny Lawrence in The Karate Kid. Apparently Barney had a thing for WZ and that movie.  I didn't know about that.  If the reference was from another episode, I missed that one. Either way...hilarious and well done! Loved it.

Vikings Season Finale
I have no idea how much time passed during the one hour season finale of Vikings, but a lot happened that lead me to believe it was a month or so. Our favorite Vikings headed up to Sweden to negotiate for land on behalf of their king with a hot Swedish guy with really cool hair. During negotiations he suggested that his visitors do some sightseeing and check out the Great Ash Tree. They took him up on his offer but left Rollo behind. Big mistake. Rollo and the Swede both had brother issues in common and the Swede used it to his advantage and convinced Rollo to switch sides and fight for him instead of his brother.  Back at the tree, Ragnar met a hot Princess and had sex with her right in front of Bjorn, his young son.  Bjorn got really pissed off at his Dad and made him promise to never do it again. Ragnar tried to keep his promise. The princess  came to Ragnar the next day (or what seemed like the next day) and said she was preggars. No idea how she knew in a day, but Ragnar's reaction was weird. I couldn't tell if he was thrilled or freaked. Back at home, Siggy caught some virus that spread and killed a ton of people including her daughter, and Lagertha and Ragnar's daughter Gita. Lagertha had to do something, so she sacrificed a goat to the gods, shmeared her face with the blood and hoped for the best. It worked. The next day (I think it was the next day) all the sick people got better. As the season ended, I thought Ragnar was going to kill his brother or the Swede, but instead he went to the Princess and listened to his unborn child's heartbeat. When next season starts...the war begins, brother vs. brother.

Married to Jonas
For any of you guys who are squeamish and don't like to talk about poo or doody...skip this section. For those of you that are cool with it...keep reading.  In my family, when you eat something that doesn't agree with you and you have to spend time in the bathroom, we call that "OH THE PAIN". Everyone in my family knows what that is...if one of us says we have "OH THE PAIN" we know that we won't be seeing that person for a while and we won't be using that bathroom for a while.  Anyway, in this weeks episode of MTJ, Kevin and his brothers were filming their "Pom Pom" video down in New Orleans when Bubby Brister, a New Orleans native and former NFL quarterback who is also a friend of the Jonas's, showed up with a huge box of crawfish for the gang to snack on. Kevin ate a bunch on set and ended up with a really bad case of "OH THE PAIN". He was in the bathroom for most of the episode, but time is money and he had to suck it up...literally...and go film the video. It just really reminds us that we're all the same. We all have been there...sweating and running back and forth to the bowl etc. I give Kevin credit for letting the camera's roll.  Back home in NY, the way more confident and very pretty Dani looked amazing for her photo shoot. I have no idea why I felt proud of her, but I did.

News & Information:

-Fox is trying something to get fans excited for their programming and their stars. This year they are giving fans the opportunity for a front-of-the-line pass to see celebs as they head in and out of the upfront presentations. They'll also get an exclusive sneak peek of the new shows, learn about their favorite returning shows and take home some FOX swag. With a lot of the bigger FOX shows experiencing losses in ratings this season, I can see why the network's trying to get some buzz going.  They all need all the help they can get.

-No ratings for the returns of All My Children and One Life to Live since they're now only available online, but 12 hours after their release, the 2 soaps were the 2 most watched episodes on Hulu. On Itunes, All My Children ranked #5 and One Life to Live #6 for individual episodes. They ranked #1 and #3 for season passes.  The soaps are being sold by month rather than by season or by episode. Any of you out there still soap fans?

-I didn't watch any part of the NFL Draft, but everyone I know did. I admit, I kept up with what was going on via my Iphone. I can't believe how many people watched the draft this year. On ESPN, 6.2 million viewers watched Round 1 on Thursday, 3.1 million people watched Round 2 and 1.6 million viewers watched round 3.  On ESPN 2, 2.4 million people watched Round 2 and 1.6 million people watched Round 3. In totality numbers seemed to be up about 4% year over year.

-Fashion Star's totally not my thing at all, but I do find the model a bit of a case study and follow it's its progress. On Friday's edition, the challenge to the designers was to create a design and alter it to complement both a man and a woman. 4 designers won purchases. Macy's bought a sleeveless shirt dress that will retail for $99 bucks and ankle zip pants that will retail for $79 bucks. Saks Fifth Avenue purchased a sheer top that will retail for $265 and Express bought a denim romper and jacket that will retail for $69.90 and $88 respectively. They also bought a pair of mens plaid pants that will retail for $69.90 as well.

-Any of you guys familiar with Mark Cuban's network AXS-TV? I don't think I have it on my cable system. If I do, I don't know where it is.  I looked. Can't find it. It used to be HDnet if that helps. Most of AXS-TV's programming is made up of concerts and music, but the nets expanding with some original programming as well. Yesterday, a big announcement from AXS, they will carry 6 hours a day of HuffPost Live programming.

Usher's foot in position...check.  Adam's hair in place...check.  Contestants sob stories...check Judges outfits...same as last week. Favorite battle of the night, Luke and Monique's performance of  Gaga's "You and I" Luke's hair annoyed me and his manscaped eyebrows freaked me out a bit, but he blew the roof off the place. Shakira's Tabasco example had me a little confused, but she sounds so good when she says anything that I didn't even try to figure it out. I hate to do this, but I need to complain just a bit. There were only 6 battles in two hours. Each battle is just 2-3 minutes. The editing is just ridiculous. They keep showing the same footage 3 different times. It's annoying guys.  It really is. I know it's all NBC's got, so they need to streeeeetch it out, but you're pissing me off.  The good news is that because of the long drawn out stuff...I was able to watch Rules of Engagement and Blue on the Wigs YouTube channel all during The Voice footage I don't care about it, so yeah me! I still LOVE the show, don't get me wrong but c'mon guys. My times valuable!

Rules of Engagement
Adam was convinced that Jeff, Russell and Timmy were throwing him a surprise bachelor party, but of course they weren't planning anything....they're idiots.  When Jen found out they had nothing planned, she made them take Adam to Vegas. For some reason, the guys decided to take the subway to the airport which made no sense. The train got stuck, Adam found out the guys were d*cks and didn't have anything planned which of course hurt his feelings. After pouring his heart out to a homeless guy named Spencer, the guys who couldn't plan a normal party, were able to pull off a last minute, pretty awesome party on a stuck subway.  It included alcohol, food, music, and dancing...I guess it is possible now that I think about it a bit.  Of course Adam got loaded and had the best time ever.  Back at the apartment, Jen volunteered to paint a mural on the never arriving babies wall. Apparently the giraffe she painted looked like a giant wiener and the Monkey with his banana's and coconuts looked like what we'd all imagine. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see her masterpiece until the end and then...all the "fun"parts were covered by photos. Cute episode and I'm still hoping the baby and the wedding never happen...it would be awesome if it ended without either.

Vikings
Everyone...Ragnar, his wife, his kids, his entire village and even his slave/priest all headed to Upsala, a place close to the gods where sacrifices are made in return for prayers answered. Prior to the sacrifice rituals, everyone celebrated by, getting wasted, doing mushrooms and having sex. Donal Logue was there as the executioner.  He killed all the animals and humans who were offered up to the gods. The cute slave/priest was supposed to be sacrificed, but when he went to the one eyed freaky guys for his presacrifice interview, they turned him away. They didn't believe he had completely given up his Christianity.  Ironically, even Ragnar realized that the priests Christian god saved his ass from death via the Viking gods.  The sacrifices were extremely bloody and a little too drawn out if you ask me.  The music played during the sacrifice scenes was really eerie and creepy, perfect bloody, sacrifice tunes. Next week is the finale already.  Bummed, I love this show.

Just checking...did anyone watch the new Sundance original, Rectify? It was 2 hours last night and I still haven't gotten through all of Game of Thrones, so I didn't get to it, but the reviews are all over the place...let me know if you did. It will help me decide what to do. Thanks

News & Information:

-Who's more likely to subscribe to a streaming video service? According to Nielsen, here are some of the facts:
  • Wealthy households (income of $100,000+) are 85% more likely to pay for a streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime Instant, or Vudu than the general population.
  • Among SVOD households, $100k+ households accounted for 37%, $50-100k households accounted for 43%, and households with incomes less than $50 accounted for 20%.
  • Of the SVOD households, 63% do not have kids.
  • 49% live in the eastern US time zone, 26% live in the central time zone and another 26% in the pacific.
  • 29% own tablets.
  • 42% are considered "professional" households; 14% "clerical"; 17% "blue collar"; and 28% "non-working" (which probably means college kids).
-The top five websites during March 2013 in terms of unique visitors, according to Kantar Media: Google.com (172.73 million); Facebook.com (164.81 million); Yahoo.com (164.41 million), YouTube.com (163.34 million), and Bing.com (156.3 million). That's the same order as the February 2013 rankings.

-Syfy's Haunted Highway has been renewed for a second season.

-Comedy Central cancelled Futurama which I didn't even know was still on.

-The second season of Revenge hasn't exactly been consistent. Ratings are down a bit, and the storyline has been all over the place, so it didn't come as much of a shock to me that the showrunner and ABC parted ways. ABC also hasn't announced Revenge's renewal either. Uh Oh...

-Amazon Prime saw a huge bump in traffic since releasing its Amazon Originals. I haven't gotten to check them all out yet, but it's on my list of things to do and view. The cool thing is, the viewers will determine which shows will get greenlit. I keep saying that this is the way of the future. Viewers will be their own programmers and the creators programmers! Makes sense doesn't it?

-Mario Lopez will be back as the host of X Factor this coming season, but Khloe's out. No big shock and no major loss. Mario was pretty good on his own and he's hot. He'll do just fin.

-On Friday, Netflix released its next exclusive series...the 13 episode Hemlock Grove horror series. Totally not my thing as I hate horror and all scary stuff, but we know that most of the public loves it, so no surprise at all when Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings revealed that Hemlock Grove was seen by more subscribers in the first few days than House of Cards when it was released in February. Of course no real numbers have been released on either, but interesting nonetheless.  Some more Netflix facts:

  • Netflix generated more than $1 billion in revenue in first quarter of 2013,
  • Netflix posted $2.7 million earnings,
  • Netflix added more than 3 million new subscribers worldwide in the same quarter it launched its the original series "House of Cards."
  • The current Netflix US subscriber base is 29.17 million
  • HBO's current US subscriber base is 28.7 million.

How I Met Your Mother
Okay I don't want anyone annoyed with me, but I have to say this because I noticed it about myself last night. Lately, maybe the past two seasons, whenever the How I Met Your Mother storyline includes more Marshall and Lily, I sorta don't care. I sorta tune out. Is that happening to you guys at all? It wasn't always that way.  Why is it that when a couple has a baby, we lose interest in them or they just become less interesting? I don't know if we were supposed to be shocked and believe that Marshall and Lily are going to actually move to Italy with Captain Twin Peaks, but I'm assuming that they won't actually go through with it. I mean it wouldn't make sense since they couldn't even survive in Long Island remember?  Anyway, Ted and Barney were obsessed with trying to check out the "ridonkulious" body, represented by a hot orange glow, of Liddy, a girl Ted knew from Yoga, who is also Tanzy from Hart of Dixie, AND Barney and Robin's wedding planner. She wouldn't take off her huge down coat and it was driving them all nuts. Cute, but I really feel the need to fast forward to the season finale already. Maybe it's me?

Rules of EngagementI can't believe that Rules of Engagement is most likely going to be cancelled. Last nights episode was really funny and again, no mention of a baby or a wedding.  Could it be that the season ends, the series ends, and the baby never arrives and the wedding never happens? I think that would be awesome.  Anyway, Timmy went on vacation to Chicago and in his absence, Russell found a girl that looked and sounded like Timmy, especially once he made her cut her hair and wear glasses. It was really hilarious. Also hilarious was the cooking contest between Adam & Jen and Jeff and Audrey. (Jeff and Audrey won) Is it me or do Jen's bangs get bigger and thicker every week and now look like those things at the car wash that swing back and forth against your windshield? I'm gonna miss this show when its gone. So under the radar, maybe too much so.

The VoiceI consider myself a music lover, I really do.  I love documentaries about music, the process of making an album or writing a song. I love movies about bands, like the most recent Eagles documentary. So I find it a strange thing that when I get to the battle round stage on The Voice, I feel the need to fast forward through the prepackaged pieces showing all that stuff that I love in movies but could care less about in this show.  Even with the addition of Sheryl Crow, Joel Madden, Hillary Scott and Pharrell...fast forward. I care more about Shakira and Adam's hair, Usher's red sneakers and just about anything Blake Shelton says or does makes me happy. Then...it's the battles, which last night were really really strong. I don't envy the judges, they have hard decisions to make with these really talented people this season.  I'm not sure I understand the steal thing though. Now you can steal more than one time. So the elimination process gets extended? More battle rounds?  I liked when Carson Daly was more of a vanilla, wallpapery host. Last night, you would have thought that he was alerting us of a Superbowl win or something whenever a judge would hit their steal button. I thought his head was going to explode. Carson, chill out dude. Just take it down a notch.  I get, it you need to make things exciting, but seriously, it's almost a little awkward.

-Faith Hill quit her Sunday Night Football gig...WHY? How much work could that be? Didn't she just tape those pieces and then sit back and watch the season? Was she forced out? Maybe she's lost her relavancy a bit?
