THE SHOWS

The Vampire Diaries Season Finale-SPOILER ALERT!
Okay so there's a plan. There's always a plan. Blow up the travellers (and Matt's place of employment) while Liv uses her witchcraft to have all of our friends from the other side pass through Bonnie and come back to our beloved Mystic Falls. Damon and Elena had to go over to the other side during this process, die and come back. I'm not 100% sure I get why they had to do that but okay they did it together because they love each other. While this was all happening, the other side was falling apart. Everyone made it back except Lexie, Silas, Marcos, BONNIE and…DAMON!!! WHAT? I mean there's NO WAY THIS SHOW GOES ON WITH DAMON. WHAT THE F IS GOING ON HERE? Now I have to wait all Summer to find out the new plan? Julie…you are ruining Summer for most of us TVD fans. OY…I need a Xanax.

THE OTHER STUFF

The CW released their Fall schedule at Thursday morning's upfront.  Here are my thoughts:
  • The line was long, but I got on it early and yet somehow there were no seats the second the doors opened. Up the stairs I went.
  • A very cool DJ and drum guy were performing while we waited for the festivities to begin.
  • Neon Trees performed their 3 hits.
  • The CW presentation always has a lot of energy and great vibe about it even if there are now seats
  • Steven Ammel, from Arrow, introduced the first of the CW's 4 new shows.
  • That's right only 4 new shows.
  • The Flash looked good.  I'm not a huge superhero person, but this show will do really well. Hot young guy, pretty girls, super speed. Winner.
  • Rob Tuck was up next with a quick thank you and hello
  • Mark Pedowitz gave us his shpeel and presented the other 3 new shows.
  • Jane the Virgin,  which looked pretty cute
  • The Messenger which was SO not for me.
  • I don't do Zombie's, but since Zombie's are the new vampires, I'm sure IZombie will also do well for the CW.
  • 60 minutes, presentation over.
  • No Vampire Diary celebs in the presentation
  • No Originals Celebs in the presentation
  • No Hart of Dixie celebs in the presentation
  • No Reign celebs in the presentation.  Sort of disappointing.
  • I'd suggest the CW save the dough instead of the seats and just stream the entire presentation so we can all view their amazing shows like most of their young millennial audiences already do…online.
MONDAY
8/7c: The Originals
9/8c: Jane the Virgin (NEW)
TUESDAY
8/7c: The Flash (NEW)
9/8c: Supernatural
WEDNESDAY
8/7c: Arrow
9/8c: The 100
THURSDAY
8/7c: The Vampire Diaries
9/8c: Reign
FRIDAY
8/7c: Whose Line Is It Anyway?
8:30/7:30c: Whose Line Is It Anyway? (Encore)
9/8c: America's Next Top Model
After lunch it was all the way back to the Javits center for the much anticipated NBCU Cable presentation. If you didn't know already, there are 9 NBCU Cable networks and to show us how they (and we) all work together, there was 1 presentation instead of 9 and 1 party instead of 9. Luckily for me, I meet with the nets all the time and was already privy to most of the programming presented. I really went for the party.  Here are my thoughts:
  • Bonnie Hammer started us off in a nice black and white dress
  • There were 120 NBCU celebrities in the audience
  • Linda Yaccarino went with an all white beautiful dress that I got to see up close and personal. Props for breaking out the white with a week to go before Memorial Day.
  • Linda brought out Kim Kardashian to read the teleprompter but she had some trouble doing that. What a surprise. Must be pre-wedding stress.
  • E! was the first network to present and Giuliana and Joan Rivers did the job.
  • Joan wore a giant black and white feather robe with the E! logo inside. She was hilarious and said the F word and all I wanted to do was meet her.
  • E! has a show called The Royals with Elizabeth Hurley and a Diane Von Furstenberg reality show.
  • I had no idea what Diane Von Furstenberg said but the show looks good.
  • Next was Syfy with Ascension, Dominion and 12 Monkeys none of these skew WWTM, all WAY too scary and way too sci-fi-ish.
  • Esquire had Knife Fight, Car Matchmaker and Weekend Fix which all looked good.
  • Andy Cohen wasn't THAT funny, and just like on his show, a bit obsessed with cocktails.
  • Reza, my favorite Shah, came out to present for Bravo.
  • Lisa Edelstein has a show on the net called Girlfriends Guide 2 Divorce. Felt Sex and the City-ish to me
  • Odd Mom Out looks decent too
  • Oxygen's rebranding without Maria Menounos. That's a bummer.
  • Nailed it, a finger nail competition show actually is something I'd watch which freaked even me out a bit.
  • USA and Syfy extended their relationship with the WWE good news for the millions of WWE fans out there. (I'm still always surprised how big wrestling STILL is)
  • Mark Feuerstein and Jenni Poulos performed a hilarious rap explaining what Symphony was. They did a great job and now...I think we get it.
  • Joel Mchale was funny
  • Again 4 glasses broke during the presentation
  • Time for the party. The food at the party was good. There were WAY too many people. Joan Rivers had no time for pictures - she had to make a plane which bummed me out. The celebs were all difficult to get pics with, but at least my boss and I got to see some of our favorite NBCU friends. Here's one of our faves, name him for bonus points.
  • 60 minutes, I was gone. A day of disappointment I guess.
  • Still the luckiest girl in the world.

-Yesterday all co-hosts of The View sat at one enormous table to say goodbye, pay tribute and thank Barbara Walters. A much smaller Rosie O'Donnell showed up and even sat next to Elizabeth Hasselback. Joy was busy taking pics on her cell phone, Meredith made out with Barbara, Debbie is preggers, and it seemed like for a brief moment, all of the women of The View got along nicely.

-Wow, Oprah and her team sure work fast, they're going to produce a docuseries about Michael Sam, the first openly gay player drafted to the NFL. I'm guessing the Rams will have something to say about that.

-For all of you Real Housewives of NJ fans, lots of big cast news. Caroline, Jaqueline and Kathy wil not be back. 3 new cast members will make their debut in July along with Teresa and Melissa and Dina Manzo will be returning to the show. I guess that means that Teresa doesn't go to prison. She hasn't been sentenced yet, so who knows. I was sort of hoping for a prison spin-off or a house arrest spin-off or something.

Friday's Trivia Question: What's this weeks theme?

Have a great weekend!

THE SHOWS

The Vampire Diaries
There's some crazy sh*t going on in Mystic Falls. Crazier than usual. A new bad guys in town, back from the other side. This guy Marcos. I'm pretty sure he's the head of the travellers and he wants to take over Mystic Falls. What is it about Mystic Falls that makes everyone want to live there? I'd think there'd be some better places, some place near the water, or in the mountains like Edward and Jacob, but nope…it's Mystic Falls. Anyway, Marcos put this spell on Stefan and Elena that had them both experiencing these romantic dreams of a normal life. One they will obviously never have. It made Damon crazy. So crazy, he never wants to see Elena again. Matt got killed…again. Luckily he had on his never die ring so it didn't last long. He did get to see his sister, Vicky, but she disappeared into the sky.

Parks & Recreation
Triplets? WHY? I was bummed enough that Leslie and Ben were preggers but now Triplets? Maybe Dr. Fonzarelli was reading the sonogram wrong? As Ben said "We are so bleeping screwed."  He and Leslie are, but I think all of us are too. Still feels like some shark jumping stuff to me. If the triplet thing wasn't enough of a sign, Ron Swanson didn't just smile in this weeks episode, he wore a crown and allowed his face to experience a huge sh*t eating grin. I can see Jaws in the air! Donna's new BF is the Key & Peele guy right? Is he Key or Peele? I'm really hoping that I'm wrong about all of this. There are so many great actors in this show and  the writing is still strong so maybe the smiling Ron Swanson and the triplets can somehow work? I'm thinking positively.

Reign
Damn it…I thought for sure that Nostradamus and Olivia were finally leaving the castle, but noooooo. Katherine guilted him in to staying put and sending Olivia away on her own. I hate Nostradamus, he bugs the crap out of me and now I'm stuck with him and that weird whispery voice. Penelope aka Anastasia Steele was also sent packing. The King, thanks to the Queen put a halt to his Christian Gray ways and now seeks god for his help. Lola's grown suspect of her fiance and didn't sign over her dowry to him. Probably a smart move. Francis had to torture a guy before leaving with Mary for Scotland. Her brother, who looks a lot like Colin Farrell urged her to get back home and help her country but it was really a scam so that he'd become King. Francis had to lock up his wife in the tower to protect his wife but that TOTALLY pissed her off big time.  Did you notice the song Lola danced to at her wedding? Tough one and huge bonus points if you get it.

Scandal Season Finale
Definitely didn't see that coming. Isn't that how I start every Scandal recap? Olivia's dad is SO evil that he would kill the President's son? That's INSANE! Sure he did it for his daughter and yes, it did get the guy re-elected and gave us a minimum of 4 more seasons of the show, but still that's some pretty crazy sh*t! Fitz wasn't having a good day even before he lost Jerry Jr. Olivia told him about his Dad raping his wife, so even though he loves and needs and wants to be with Olivia forever, forever needs to wait a while. I'm guessing it needs to wait 4 more years. Equally disturbing, Huck doing Quinn over the desk in the office and Abby walking in on them. OMG that was nuts. Not sure what will happen to them now that Charlie found Huck's family. We have to assume that Olivia and Jake will come back from wherever it is they took their private jet to. She'll go have that baby and be back in DC and her signature cool white clothes in September. Wait til she finds out that her Dad's back in charge of B613, David Rosen's taking them down and her Mom's in a box in the ground alive. She's not going to be happy. She also might be pissed that Harrison's dead and that her Dad had him killed too. Great season, great finale and of course I gotta ask you to name the final song of the season.

Parenthood Season Finale
We have no idea if Parenthood's coming back or not and I gotta be honest, last nights episode worked as a season finale and/or a series finale. It had everything I'd wanted it to. Of course the tear count was high. A bit higher than normal, but all in all I'm good with where we netted out. Haddie's home and she's a lesbian. Adam and Kristina handled it beautifully because we'd expect nothing less from them. Victor, who had been struggling in school won the essay contest and read us the amazing story of his year fixing the GTO with his Grandpa. Joel and Julia came together and now we think they might be okay. Hank and Sarah are giving it a shot, Drew got the girl AND the car (that part killed me), Max got a suit, the house got packed up and that's was a wrap. I sure hope that isn't the last time I see the Braverman and peek into their lives, but if it is, I want to thank them all for letting me in. Of course I have to thank Jason Katims for giving me this family for a while. They aren't perfect, but they're really special and like the Taylor's of Friday Night Lights, they inspire us, give us hope and a benchmark of how we wish our families could be and how we hope we can be. If I don't see them all again next season,  I'll miss them.

THE OTHER STUFF

-Comcast did a study and gave customers access to many different TV series through it's on-demand and streaming products for Watchathon Week. Here's what they found out:

  • "Comcast customers used Watchathon to catch-up on Game of Thrones in advance of the season four premiere. As a result, live ratings for the premiere were 17 percent higher in Comcast households compared to non-Comcast households across the country.  Additionally, 675,000 viewers caught the premiere on Xfinity On Demand within the first three days-- growing the national audience an additional 10 percent.
  • The second season of Fox’s The Mindy Project came back from hiatus during Watchathon Week. Live ratings for this episode were 60 percent higher. Even more impressive; the April 8 post-Watchathon episode had a ratings lift in Comcast households of 83 percent.
  • The latest episode of FX’s Archer aired on March 31 and saw a 78 percent live ratings lift.
  • The April 8 episode of NBC’s Chicago Fire saw 30 percent higher live ratings.
  • The latest episode of NBC’s Grimm saw a 65 percent lift in live ratings.
  • The latest episode of Fox’s breakthrough documentary Cosmos aired on Sunday, April 6 and saw 27 percent higher live ratings.
  • The April 10 episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation saw an impressive 49 percent ratings lift."
Basically what this tells us is that by making more episodes of existing shows available for consumers to catch up on drives bigger live viewing. Comcast could have just asked me this…I would have told them the same thing.

-If you haven't seen Jared Leto's documentary, Artifact, I'm urging you to set your DVR's to check it out. VH1 is going to air it on 4/26. Its the story of the legal battle Jared's band, 30 Seconds to Mars, had with their record label. Really sheds light on the music business. I loved it.

-Yeahearly Christmas present for me! ABC's giving me (and you) another season of The Great Christmas Light Fight

The other day, on Ellen, Dax Shephard from Parenthood was a guest and spoke of his Brad Pitt obsession. What I loved was that he's just like usobsessed with a celebrity, in his case a true man crush that I totally get. It was hilarious and Ellen gave him the greatest gift ever. Check it out:  http://www.ellentv.com/videos/0-1vmuiml8/

-Duck Dynasty's season finale may have been number one on cable Wednesday night, but the show decreased in viewers  significantly vs. last years finale. 6 million people watched this year vs. 8.4 million last year and 9.6 the year before. Is it the Phil stuff or are people just over the family already?

THE SHOWS
The Vampire Diaries
Starting off with a topless Damon Salvatore is always a good thing in my book and the sexy Damon/Elena moments are very enjoyable. My fave, throwing Elena up against a locker at school and working her into a frenzy, very enjoyable. Did you EVER say the word doppelgänger before you started watching The Vampire Diaries? I don't think I did, but now, I try to say whenever I can. Apparently Stefan's last living doppelganger was in Atlanta and needed by the travellers. They sent Caroline to get Tom Avery or they'd squeeze Stefan's brain until he lost his memories again.  Tom was a paramedic whose hair was parted to the side instead of the windblown spike-up Stefan has.  Caroline couldn't kill him, but Enzo could and now no idea what will happen to Stefan. Is there a possibility of Caroline and Stefan? That was some pretty close cuddling, no? Not sure what was more insane, the fact that Elena and Damon even went to Jeremy's parent teacher conference or the fact that they were shocked that Jeremy was doing so poorly? REALLY? Look at the kids life! His parents are dead, his girlfriend was dead and now that she's back from being dead, every time he wants to get some, a dead person burns through her to get to the other side, his sister and all her pals are vampires and oh…by the way, he's a vampire killer. He's supposed to study for a bio test too? COME ON!

Reign
The king is going mad and honestly, I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I didn't love when he put the candle wax in the guys ear, but I did enjoy it when he went back to his Christian Gray ways with Penelope the kitchen chick who won the Queen of the Bean a contest where the winner gets to wear the crown, bed the King and sit on the thrown for a day. Apparently in addition to her kitchen skills, Penelope's a dominatrix too. Who knew?  Greer was all set to marry the very cute Lord Julian but he caught her with the baker and moved on to Lola pretty fast as per Mary's plan. Just in time too because Lola's not fitting into her clothes. Now Greer will marry the gay Lord Castleroy but it's actually good for both of them because then she can still sleep with the baker and get free treats. Francis fell through the ice, Bash saved him and then Francis saved Bash from their nut job dad's sword. Sure he's alive but the King made him marry Kenna. OY.  I need Nostradamus and Olivia gone. I hate the way he speaks in that gravelly whisper and she freaks me out. Enough of them already.

Scandal
Did you TOTALLY forget about Jerry, Karen and their baby bro, Teddy? I sure did until they were back home for a big live interview with their parents. Jerry's putting Hitler mustache's on his Dad and Tweeting it out, Karen walked opened the wrong door and saw her Mom on her knees with "Uncle Andrew" and luckily baby Teddy can't talk yet. Jake's starting to speak just like Olivia and both of them sound just like Daddy Pope. Does that mean that some day Olivia will be Command? Probably not but that would be a SICK series finale wouldn't it? Olivia Pope as Command? She def couldn't do that if she had a kid. Quinn and Charlie discussing Huck's visit while torturing some terrorist was sort of interesting, but Huck and Quinn's "encounter" on the bridge was actually MORE interesting. This time it was Quinn doing the licking. Harrison got drugged by Ivy, Olivia's Mom gave her a call and Cyrus tried to smash a vase over Jake's head but you know that would never happen. Fitz came down hard on Mellie for cheating with Andrew since she wouldn't let Fitz touch her for 10 years. I thought for sure she'd tell him about his Dad, but that fact wasn't revealed…yet!  Olivia's Mom, Ivy and some guy named Ivan are planning on killing the Prez…I think, but no worries, Jake knows about it and he'll handle it, I'm sure. Okay what was the song they played last night? A good one!

Parenthood
Lots of awkward in this episode of Parenthood.
Hank and Sarah, Mark and Sarah, Joel and Julia, the kids and Drew, the kids and Amber, the teachers and The Braverman, yeesh…lots of awkward. Not to mention, sex interuptus moments are ultra awkward. Which is worse, being interrupted by your dad or your kid? I was going to do a poll on this one. Who's more annoying…Lily from Modern Family OR Sydney from Parenthood. Two cool Dad/Son moments, Crosby and Zeke's road trip along the water and Adam and Max's IN the water. Looks like Joel and Julia are done and it looks like Camille and Zeke are going to have to start packing. COME ON NBC…please announce this shows renewal…PLEASE. The renewal announcement is my cliffhanger.

THE OTHER STUFF

-It's not a done deal yet, but Amazon may be getting into the streaming biz too. Not just for Prime members but for everyone via a set top box or a Chomocast type doodad or something. If they do it will ad supported like all the other players in the space. With all the info Amazon has on all of us, it could make a great case for advertiser dollars. It hasn't been announced yet, but it could be coming soon according the Wall Street Journal. So many choices, who's going to invent the content navigation tool that best benefits all of us as consumers? I already could use one that tells me where, when and how much it would cost to watch what I want for the best experience and the best cost. With more choices coming, this "thing" will be needed more than ever.

-5 episodes of Mind Games and DONE! ABC cancelled it. Hope you didn't get too attached. I feel bad for Christian Slater, the guy needs a break.

-I'm not a huge news person, but even I was surprised by Cynthia McFadden's departure from ABC News to NBC and Juju Chang's promotion to co-anchor of Nightline

THE SHOWS

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
I've probably watched Jay 5 or 10 times over his 22 year run but of course I had to watch the last show. Mainly because I love Garth Brooks, but also because I just wanted to see it for myself. It was sweet and cheesy which is what I sort of expected. Billy Crystal was sweet and cheesy as was the "So Long, Farewell" bit, but I'll admit, I got choked up when Jay got choked up. Nice to see him get a bit emotional. While his comments about the Tonight Show crew being his family were also very sweet, if I were Mavis, I think I might be a bit miffed. Jay mentioned that after he lost his Mom, Dad and bro he "was pretty much out of family and the folks at the Tonight Show became his family." Ahhh what about MAVIS, Jay???  No thank you to good ole Mavis? She's the one who's gotta deal with you now Jay, I personally would have set that stage a bit better. Either way, it's always sad to say good-bye even if it's to someone I rarely said hello to.

Winter Olympics (I'm going with bullets)
  • Bob's got a pink eye or something, but he's a trooper and got comfy at his super cool diamond desk.
  • You can live stream without knowing the results...WAY COOL NBC!!!
  • The NBC Olympic App is WAY cool and you can watch all day! There's also a Visa camera app too that you have to check out
  • Slope Style Snowboarding is crazy. My heart stops when they're in the air so long.
  • Just to be clear that is NOT Jenny Jones the former talk show host flying down the mountain.
  • Love seeing the replay of a great wipeout from every angle and in slow motion.
  • Jamie Anderson, US Slope Style boarder currently in first place, has 7 brothers and sisters and was raised in Lake Tahoe. Had to be a fun way to grow up. She's a real tree hugger. She hugs a tree before she heads down the mountain. I'm totally serious. She really does.
  • Love all the Russian Babushka Dolls everywhere
  • Putin/Politics-Candy Crush time
  • Mens Short Program -Team
  • Yevgeny Plushenko's considered a rock star in Russia. Not the most attractive guy in the world. He probably should have shaved before he took to the ice. Some big bling for a skater, I would think that would be dangerous.
  • Loving the Quads
  • Jeremy Abbott CRASHED AND BURNED BIG TIME
  • Patrick Chan wasn't that great either. It's the Olympics people...A Game!
  • Yuzuro Hanyu from Japan brought his A Game big time. Kicked Plushenko down a notch. Only 19 years old and he sort of looked rubbery.
  • Ya gotta love Scott Hamilton he gets super excited over everything
  • Bode Miller's 36 years old and still skiing
  • Shaun White dropped out of the Men's Slope Style. Lots of controversy
  • SebToots pretty good...I like the nickname
  • Okay so the Japanese pairs team TRAINS in America but they are skating for Japan. Not sure how I feel about that.
  • Just to clarify...it's not TRIPLE SOW COW...it's TRIPLE SALCHOW
  • Pairs Team Skate
  • There is a 16" difference between Castelli and Shnapir. The did okay but I loved that they skated to Santana
  • Canadians Megan and Eric kicked butt with their routine. Eric composed the music they skated to. Impressive.
  • The Russian dude was channeling a Brian Boitano look and I believe he was sporting a bit of a mullet, hate to say it but they were great. Still preferred the Canadians
  • Back to the snowboarding. Mark McMorris competed with a broken rib and crashed. That HAD to hurt.
  • 1620 is 5 rotations people!
  • Didn't the snow on the womens mogul mountain look like white sand? it was odd looking to me
  • Hannah Kearney's braids are ridiculous
The Vampire Diaries
I really do want Elena back and I want her back with Damon. I can't stand this Katherine traveler thing and I hate the ultra mean killing machine Damon Salvatore. I'm thinking that the jig will be up soon since Tyler heard Natalia compelling Matt. How could Matt NOT notice that his vervane necklace was missing? Wouldn't that be like underwear in Mystic Falls? I was thinking, who cleans the Salvatore's house? There's always such destruction and then it's all cleaned up. Is there some compelled cleaning lady around that we don't know about? This weeks awesome party idea: The Bitter Ball where you bring photos of your ex and put it in the shredder. Loved Kathlena's comment: "I didn't think people actually printed out pictures anymore." Not digging this Enzo guy at all. I'd like him to leave soon. Also like Jeremy to get a new hairstylist. What happened to his hottness.

Kelly & Michael
I TiVo Kelly & Michael every day. Every year, Kelly makes a Super Bowl bet. Used to be with Regis and now it's with Michael. Kelly always wins...except for this year. Because she lost, she had to do yesterday's show without make-up and guess who was on the show yesterday? Only GEORGE freaking CLOONEY! Kelly looked okay, not great but okay. What's George going to say? You look beautiful blah, blah, blah. I'm betting that George would NEVER sign Kelly to the two year deal, but it was fun TV anyway. George rules. Super hot, super charming and super funny.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
http://www.comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/howard-stern-the-last-days-of-howard-stern I'm a HUGE Howard Stern fan and obviously a huge Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee fan. I was totally looking forward to this episode and unfortunately I was a bit disappointed by it. First of all it's the shortest episode this season at only 14 minutes and Howard came across overly neurotic to me. Jerry did a great job with Howard but the shows just off a bit. There's a segment in the supermarket that really made no sense at all. I bet Jerry and Howard rarely if ever go to a supermarket. I did love the car choice though, perfectly fitting for Howard. Watch the episode and tell me if you agree.

Nashville
I don't even know what the truth is anymore on this show. Did Powers Booth kill his wife? Did he try to kill Teddy? He had a story for everything and he was pretty convincing too...until he died. Dun..Dun...DUNNNN Before he bit it, the girls all sang him a beautiful song, made him cookies and welcomed him home, but that's the last time any of them will see him because he had a heart attack in Teddy's office and Teddy did NOTHING to help the guy. I don't even care. Good riddance in my opinion. Will's so afraid of embracing his homosexuality that he got Brent fired from Edgehill, Scarlett's doing great except she's addicted to pills, Deacon and Avery kicked butt at the Bluebird and Juliette seems to have the magical ability to do a complete apartment renovation in less than 6 hours including new furniture, candles, and carpet.  I could use a visit from her at my house. If all that wasn't enough, Zoey did that hair straightening treatment and I barely recognized her.

THE OTHER STUFF

It's Amazon's pilot season again. Last time we all viewed and voted for Alpha's and Betas and both of were made into a series.  There are 5 shows to choose from: The After, Bosch, Mozart in the Jungle, The Rebels, & Transparent.  At press time, I've only seen Mozart in the Jungle and I really liked it. It's about the NYC Orchestra scene and stars Malcom McDowell as the Maestro who's been kicked to the curb for Gael Garcia the hot new innovative conductor. Bernadette Peters is in it but it's all the young unknowns in the cast that are more fun and interesting. I still have 4 others to watch, but pretty impressed with this one.

Anyone who wants to binge view season 1 of FX's The Americans can head on over to Amazon right now. The entire first season is available to stream for all Amazon Prime members. The second season starts on 2/26 so there's plenty of time. I liked this show. I'd say go for it.

On a completely side note, when I'm NOT listening to Howard Stern in the morning, I listen to Scott & Todd on WPLJ. Today is Scott Shannon's last day in the broadcast booth. It caught me by surprise. I had no idea that he was leaving. I used to work for Scott and to be honest he wasn't a nice guy at all. I've heard that over the years he's changed. Regardless of my feelings, he's a good broadcaster and will be missed.

Friday's Trivia Question: No idea why this Olympic moment is stuck in my head but this skier had a crazy Gold Medal winning run in the 1976 Olympics. He wasn't a US athlete. Name him.

Have a great weekend!
