First and foremost, I hope all of you guys are safe and sound and haven't had to deal with damages to your homes or property. We lost power at 6:07pm Monday. We don't have cable, but we do have a digital antenna so we are able to watch TV. I am powering the internet off of a Mifi and my cell phone. (We have a generator)

A new Top 5...Top 5 YouTube Channels for the week of 10/18-10/24. To be honest, I don't know much about YouTube channels, but I guess it's time to start learning and paying attention:

The Warner Sound-7,829,595 This is a music channel
Machinima Prime-7,167,463 This is a gaming channel

With Hurricane Sandy in full swing, I made a deal with my son and husband, that I got the first hour of TV and then we would switch to ESPN at 9pm, so I only got to see Team Adam's Knock Out round on The Voice. The Battle Rounds and the Knock Out rounds are exactly the same, the only difference is that the contestants choose their own songs. First round for Team Adam, Jocelyn vs Kayla. Adam chose Jocelyn who he stole from Drooptina and this time, Kayla went home. Joe and Brian were next and Adam chose Brian which was the right choice. After Joe went home, the next two singers from Team Adam to go up were Amanda and Michelle. Amanda won but both she and Michelle were amazing. Lauren vs Nicole and Melanie and Sam were the last two pairs for Team Adam. Lauren beat Nicole and I was truly shocked by Adam choosing Lauren. I don't like Melanie, never have, but everyone seems to really be into her and that included Adam who chose her instead of Sam. So there is Adam's final team. While the performances were great, I was just happy to see our judges new outfits finally. Athough Adam looked like he took his T-Shirt out of the rag pile and CeeLo wore a Dentist's jacket. Xtina wasn't so droopy last night in her gray striped sweater and Blake got my best dressed award in a jacket and checkered shirt.
The Married to Jonas season (hopefully not series) finale was pretty good. Both families came together for the Jonas's first live show in 2 1/2 years at Radio City. Kevin and Dani hosted a lovely dinner at their house where Danielle put floating candles in the swimming pool to impress her Mother In Law, but for some ridiculous reason decided against cloth napkins which we know her MIL has an issue with. Mrs. Jonas paid Danielle quite a few complaints even though upon her arrival she presented her with two potted plants that are apparently known as Mother In Law Tongues. I've never heard of these before. The Jonas's performed their new song "Let's Go" to a sold out Radio City and the show was over. I'll miss my Jo Bro's and Danielle's family, but hoping they come back soon!
Ice Loves Coco season premiere was next up for me. Coco's fashion line LISCIOUS premiered on the season premiere and as always, Coco was freaking out, things weren't going as planned, Ice calmed her down, and everything was fine. The Neiman Marcus buyer loved the line but not a clue if anyone actually purchased it. Ice wants elevators for his cars in their new home which will delay construction by 5 months. Coco's not happy but she's giving in I think. Ice had a few good slogans for Coco such as "Worst First, Greater Later" followed by "If you love somebody they are not your enemy." Ice rules.
I think I told you guys that I Tivo'ed a show on Discovery called Flipping the White House right? Well, thanks to Hurricane Sandy, I got to watch it, but it STUNK! Sorry Discovery, most of your shows are awesome but this one was so cheesy and repetitive it was ridiculous. The show was filled with really old footage and a model of the White House using dollhouse furniture and toy trucks to represent the real thing. It was a borefest. What a bummer.
Sunday nights episode of Breaking Amish had all of the cast going back to their Amish families to reveal their decision as to whether or not they will continue to live in the Amish community or not. Kate, the bishops daughter showed up in English clothes to let her family know that she was going to live an English life and follow her dream of being a model. (After seeing a dermatologist or a really great airbrusher). Her friends ran away from her and her family refused to see her. Abe also elected to give up his Amish life. His family did invite him in to their home, but they made him sit at a separate tiny table to eat and then basically kicked him out. Rebecca also chose to leave her Amish life to be with Abe. When she returned home her friends also ran away from her and her family had moved away. All of her stuff was gone. Abe and Rebecca decided to move to Lancaster and plan their wedding. They have no jobs or money or anything so I'm guessing TLC paid for the big ceremony. Jeremiah was also turned away by his family when he returned home as well. Abe asked Jeremiah to be his best man. Sabrina is the only one of the cast who returned to her Mennonite life. We learned another big secret... she too had once been married. Rebecca asked Sabrina to be her maid of honor.
I bet the people on Live (with) Kelly and Michael are bummed they didn't wait a tiny bit longer...Anderson Cooper is now available. Anderson's daytime talk show will end after the current season. Anderson was always amazing when he was on with Kelly and would have been one of my top 3 picks to take Regis's place. Oh well, proof positive that timing is everything
Lots of hype over Jimmy Kimmel's shows from Brooklyn this week. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Sandy, he had to cancel Monday nights show and most of the top networks decided to air re-runs on Monday night since most of the Eastern seaboard is dealing with Sandy.
ABC gave Scandal and The Neighbors full season orders. Not surprised at all about Scandal...totally surprised by The Neighbors though.
Some good news for Pat, Vanna and Alex Trebek, who probably all have the best jobs ever. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy were renewed through 2016. All 3 of them have great gigs, but Vanna really lucked out. No idea how much she makes to turn letters, but any amount of money is a bonanza in my book.
