2 episodes in to Start Ups: Silicon Valley and I'm about ready to delete the season pass. None of the cast is that interesting (or that hot) and most of the time they aren't doing much of anything that I care about. I am sticking with my 3 strike policy, so I'll give it one more week. but needless to say I'm pretty disappointed. Sarah Austin and her lifecasting thing is a tiny bit interesting, but that's about it. I had high hopes...Bravo, Randi Zuckerberg, tech...it should work, but it doesn't. Not really.

Something was weird with Brick on Hart of Dixie, but Zoey figured out that he was just freaking out because he thought his long distance girlfriend, Emily had broken up with him, but she didn't. Lemon was working her butt off trying to get votes for Lavon and finally admitted to herself and her friend that she's still in love with him. Of course the second she says it out loud, admits it and decides to do something about it, what happens? The mayor wins reelection and he's making out with Ruby, his opponent and it's TV, so of course, Lemon sees them. Dun Dun Dun (can you hear that in your head?) So here's my prediction. Lavon and Ruby will break up the SECOND Lemon starts kissing someone else. Next big prediction, George Tucker is going to start going out with Wade's ex...I should know this stuff by now.
I was a nervous wreck watching Drooptina and CeeLo's opening number on The Voice. Droopy seemed to have trouble with her earpiece, her outfit and walking around on stage, plus at any moment her upper assets were going to fall out of their protective covering. CeeLo had this walking stick that kept poking at Droopy the entire time they were on stage. Seriously it could have been a disaster. No idea what the choreographers were thinking at all. What WAS a disaster was Droopy wearing the big lavender wig for the rest of the show. CeeLo wore what appeared to be a supersized Adam Levine type shirt and ya know what...he looked good in conservative clothes. Adam was back to his raggy ripped up white tee but he jazzed it up with a plaid jacket. After Droopy performed, we found out that Bryan and Sylvia were safe and then Jason Aldean performed because we need to draw the results out as long as possible. After Jason, we found out that Dez and Nick were safe and then...another performance, this time CeeLo and his team sang "Stayin Alive" in crazy costumes. CeeLo's outfit and wig...classic. Next no drumroll, but Blake and HIS team had to perform and then we FINALLY get to the rest of the results...Terry McDermott, Amanda White, Cody Belew, and Melanie Martinez, the half and half bow girl ,are all safe. Adriana and Michaela, the mohawk triangle head girl, were both voted out. Show over.
On Parenthood, I thought I was in the clear...I thought I was going to get through the entire episode without tears, but nope, c'mon that can't happen, this is Parenthood, you have to cry at least once per episode, so 55 minutes in, Camille is telling Kristina how much she loves her and gives her a sweater that's been passed from chemo patient to chemo patient and the tears start falling down my cheeks. Amber and Luke Cafferty from Friday Night Lights (best show ever) did it. That didnt' take long. Started out on the 5th hole of a mini golf course and then...Mornin! Of course Zeke wasn't thrilled when he heard this news, because he knows what I know...that Ryan, aka Luke is going to break his granddaughter's heart. In the mean time, Drew finally figured out how to get girls, play the whoa is me card. Poor me, my aunt has Cancer, poor me, my Mom moved in with my teacher, poor me and what'dya know? He's getting some action just like his sister!.
While I don't report everyday on Live (With) Kelly and Michael anymore, I still have my season pass and check out the show everyday to see if there's someone good on. Today, Kelly and Michael welcomed the very handsome and very charming Bradley Cooper, so of course, I watched this one. Sure Bradley was gorgeous and charming, but even better than Bradley's appearance, was the cooking segment with Michael's fiance (and Eddie Murphy's ex), Nicole. Check out how tiny Kelly is compared to these two. She looks like she could be their 8 year old adopted daughter.
Ed was on assignment yesterday but was able to file a DWTS report late last night:
News & Information
*ABC gave Nashville a full season order yesterday. I'm a happy camper, but they need to start moving things along. We need more Deacon and Raina action and Scarlett needs to get together with Gunner.
*Breaking Amish has become TLC's #1 primetime show ever. While this is amazing, I'm not sure how TLC is going to capitalize on this news. A second season with the same cast really can't work. Maybe the producers will try to find more Amish people who want to leave their homes? I'd think it would be easy...just dangle a hot shower, TV, lightswitches and cars in front of them...boom...done.
*The Amish are HOT! Here's how you know...more Amish are coming our way! Not do be outdone by TLC, Discovery is launching it's own show, Amish Mafia on December 11th. This show focuses on the Amish law enforcers. I guess they heard about the hot showers and the cars mentioned above.
*More shakeups over at The Today Show on NBC. Jim Bell is out as executive producer and Alexandra Wallace is in. It was only a matter of time right? WIth GMA leading these days, The Today Show is now on the defense.
*Jersey Shore's Vincent Guadagnino is getting his own MTV Talk Show. I am anti Jersey Shore as a whole, so I'm ignoring this news.
*Video viewing on NON PC/MAC devices such as smartphones, tablets, game consoles and other portable connected devices TRIPLED between Q3 2011 and Q3 2012 reaching 1.3 BILLION total video views.

Ed was on assignment yesterday but was able to file a DWTS report late last night:
Professional dancer Tony Dovolani has never won the mirror ball trophy and his excitement to be performing with his current (and former) partner Melissa Rycroft at such a high level is infectious! Thanks to last week’s non-elimination week, M&T landed with a 99/100 (!) and are heading to next week’s semi-finals.
Judge Len Goodman told Shawn Johnson not to blame him but to blame her partners Derek Hough and Mark Ballas for her trio/weird jungle dance if she goes home this week – while Judge Carrie Ann Inaba gave them a 10. For Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy, Len relayed that he has his standards while Carrie Ann “has none” (cue the shocking reaction shot from Kelly). The debates between Len and Carrie Ann didn’t hurt either couple when votes and cumulative scores from two weeks came together – they’re both heading to the semi-finals.
Emmit Smith smiled and shaked his rump just enough to overcome a “little slip” this week. He and Cheryl Burke are also on their way to next week’s semi-finals but I just don’t see them winning the mirror ball trophy a second time this year.
Pros Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd became a real-life couple this season (heavens to murgatroyd - sorry, had to say it once this season!). They’ll have more time to candoole after last night as both were eliminated with their partners. Maks with Kirstie Ally because there’s only so far you can go when you’re not at the same level as the rest of the pack. Peta with Gilles Marini because his two weeks of cumulative viewer votes couldn’t get them through an early exit in last week’s Swing Dance Marathon. I’d also like to think Gilles got knocked off because he takes the whole thing too darn seriously, but if that were true, then Kelly Monaco would also have been ousted by now.
It must be killing Olympians Apolo Anton Ohno and Shawn Johnson that former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft has been showing them how it’s done all season long. Maybe she’s got an advantage from being paired with her original DWTS partner Tony while Apolo and Shawn are with different partners. We’ll see how it plays out in the semi-finals next week.
