We had Deacon and the lawyer who I can't stand doin it. Teddy and Peggy nobody cares. Avery and Gunnar are now making songs together. Gunnar's sleeping with Zoey, Scarlett's BFF and Avery's sleeping with Scarlett, his and Gunnar's ex.  Charlie and Olivia Wentworth are back in town. Olivia's a beatchhhh so Charlie's sleepin with Juliette Barnes, only thing is...Olivia saw them both in action. Rayna's slept with Deacon, Teddy, and Liam and if she wants Scarlett on tour with Juliette, she's going to most likely have to sleep with Luke Wheeler who slept with Debra Messing on Smash. Got that all?


Modern Family
SO NOT COOL...repeating last years Halloween episode! I guess I was probably one of the only people who actually saw it in the Tri-State Area. Most people were without power last year due to Hurricane Sandy. If you recall, I had my generator and my rabbit ears and wasn't without TV at all. Soooo, I checked out the Knick game for a little while and tuned in to see the Red Sox win at Fenway. 

Survivor
OMG...tears, tears and more tears between Kat and Hayden it was a cryfest!  Weird that Kat was SO concerned that Hayden would be upset, embarrassed and ashamed of her for losing the duel.  (5 point bonus if you can name the reality show that Hayden won.) Kat SUCKS at puzzles, she knew she sucked at them and now she's gone.  Kat cried again and checked that Hayden wasn't breaking up with her before she left, then Hayden felt guilty that he didn't switch places with her and MORE tears. Are all Mom's matchmakers? Tina's on Survivor Island with her daughter and hoping that Vytas is into her. Hilarious. Have you noticed how CLEAN everyone is on Survivor? Remember the days of unshaven armpits and people washing their clothes in the water all the time.  This cast looks like they have hair products, makeup and deodorant no? The girls were all prepared to vote Vytas out even though they love him soooo much, Laura B was in tears (more tears) and told Vytas that he was getting the boot. She didn't want to blindside her buddy. NOT COOL Laura...you can't open your big fat yap without discussing it with your alliance first.  Nail in the coffin...Buh Bye Laura B! One additional thing...have you also noticed extra snake footage lately? If there are so many snakes at camp, how come the tribes never talk about them, kill them, eat them, see them or step on them?

The Goldbergs
Halloween in the 80's...it was the best!  Adam MADE his own costume because we did that back then.  (I was a pack of Kool Cigarettes when cigarettes were cool) Adam made a Rubik's Cube but when Evan Turner and the other cool kids invited him trick or treating he had to bag the cube, the candy and Pops and start egging his own house and accidently got Murray in the face. Sure Murray freaked out, but he understood. So much so, that he still let him go Trick or Treating with Pops.  I would have been grounded, not given a Ghostbusters costume and candy but it's TV AND Halloween, so all has to be right in the world by the time the credits roll. Bev sounded JUST like my Mom...no candy til she checked it for razor blades and anything NOT wrapped...garbage. Did anyone you know ever find anything with a razor blade in it? Didn't think so.  Barry was the Incredible Hulk and they even showed original footage from the show on Barry's tiny color TV. Bev dressed up as a ghost and went to the Halloween party that Barry and Erica went to and embarrased them beyond belief. This week, Erica looked less like Sixx from Blossom and more like Zoey Hart from Hart of Dixie. Either way, I never concentrate on anything she ever says.

Sons of Anarchy
What's with the extra 15 minutes of Sons of Anarchy?  Not that I'm not into it, but 10 o'clock shows are hard enough for me to stay awake for, these extra 15 minutes are killing me.   Only two deaths in this weeks episode...a slow day in Charming. In general, I like CCH Pounder, but I'd really like her and this school killing storyline to end. I like Sheriff Eli, he's a smart guy, and he gets the club and CCH is bugging him too. Also, a bit of a bummer that Wendy's back to using again. I was rooting for her.  I don't know why I rooted for the drug addict, I guess everyone likes a comeback story. How funny is it that the clubs headquarters is a candy store? Everytime there's a scene in Scoops and Sweets, you have to laugh. It's hilarious. So what do we think, will Tara stick with Jax after all this? Bobby said it best, he'll never make it without her, but it seems he's not doing to well with her either, and you KNOW he's going to find out the truth about the miscarriage. Gemma Teller will not rest until she gets proof and tells her baby boy everything. 

NEWS & INFORMATION:

-Even I may have to tune in to Dancing with the Stars on Monday when Cher guest judges. Who am I kidding? I'll DVR it and just fast forward to her comments. DWTS isn't my thing, but Cher is, so that's my plan.

-I feel like it's stupid to even make the announcement, when a show is delivering crazy audiences week after week EVEN when it's up against the NFL and The World Series, the network HAS to do everything it can to keep the momentum and keep audiences tuning in LIVE...so renewing The Walking Dead for a 5th season is a no brainer.  All of you "Dead Heads"(Is that what Walking Dead fans are called?) can rejoice...another season ahead.

-Is Cablevision listening? Do they read this blog? Probably not. I'm generally not a jealous person at all, but Comcast Xfinity subscribers will be able to use their Xfinity To Go App to watch 35 TV Channels over the internet on their mobile devices via WiFi.They'll also  be able to stream and download movies!  Not all the juicy channels are available yet (like Bravo) but STILL it's coming, I know it. I'm begging you Cablevision...give me something for my 200 bucks a month! PLEASE!

-Things must have been REALLY bad between Dina and Caroline Manzo. The second that Caroline announced her departure from Real Housewives of NJ, Dina announces she's coming back. Aren't you DYING to know what the problem between them is? I am. 

-Nothing at ALL to do with TV, but I know a TON Of Starbucks loyalists out there might get into this, so I figured I'd mention it. Through its partnership with Twitter, Starbucks lovers can Tweet-a-Coffee. Users tweet @tweetacoffee and @another user to give a 5$ Starbucks voucher. The voucher will transfer the funds to the Starbucker's mobile app account.  We're a Dunkin Donuts family but I'm really curious about this one, so if anyone does this, let me know how it works!

-I never include gossipy stuff in this blog (that's a whole different blog) but I have to admit, I was shocked to read that not only is Kerry Washington married, but she's preggers too? She's like the anti-Kardashians...keeping both items so secret. Just shows it can be done. All that asided, the big issue is how it affects Olivia Pope. Does it? Will they write it in? OMG I love being shocked like this. More to come I'm sure.

Betrayal
You knew that everything would have to unravel sooner or later on Betrayal.  I mean Jack and Sarah and their "thing" only work in a bubble right? Once Jack took that picture, I knew the sh*t was going to hit the fan. Rule number one...NO PHOTOS! I mean come on dude, you're in the business of cleaning up messes not making them. Who leaves the picture in the camera? Sarah's not in love, she's obsessed, I mean look what happened when she found out Jack couldn't make their date, a complete breakdown in front of her husband and all of his co-workers. There's no way this show can be more than one season? I mean the story ends soon right? We don't care that Elaine's into the wine guy, or that TJ's working as a mechanic or that the guy from Babe is a mean nut job. All we care about is Jack and Sarah and it looks like next week it all blows up. OMG loving the ride, but all great rides must come to an end and I see the end coming soon.

E! Special-Tori Spelling 
I'm a huge Tori Spelling fan. Well, I'm pretty much a huge fan of anyone from the original Beverly Hills 90210 so that makes me a huge Tori fan.  There isn't much we don't know about Tori Spelling, Dean, her kids, her Mom etc. So I guess E! did Tori a favor by giving her a one our special to promote her book and her new show. Of course I had to watch. As expected, I didn't learn anything new. Didn't matter, I could have stared at Dean, Tori and Giuliana all day trying.  Dean got really old looking really fast. I guess that's what happens when you have 4 kids under the age of 5. Tori and Giuliana are train wrecks at this point. No disrespect at all, I LOVE Tori, but she's looking very strange now. She was smart though...she had Giuliana do the interview which balanced out the oddness factor a bit.  The two of them together, you don't know who to look at first. I don't want to mean, but seriously, you need to check this interview out just to tell me who wins here. I'm giving it to Olive Oyl, but it's a close race. 

The Governors Wife
I heard about this new show on A&E called The Governors Wife and to be honest, I had no idea it was a reality show. I thought it was like a Downton Abbey or something.  I was TOTALLY off base.  I didn't give the show a season pass but I know, I will be watching it again. Here's the story. Ex Governor of Louisiana and Ex Con, Edwin Edwards is 85 years old. He has 2 of the scariest looking daughters you've ever seen who are in their 60s and dating. He's married to Trina who is 34 years old and has a 16 year old son and a 14 year old son and SHE'S pregnant with the Gov's baby. She has a hot sister and a gay BFF and everyone says Y'all a million times in each episode. The Governor is obsessed...I mean OBSESSED with turning lights off and saving money on electricity. He's insane about it.  Do I need to say more? Check it out.  

Hart of Dixie
I am pretty sure that it's only my BFF Alyssa and I who are still watching Hart of Dixie, but honestly I still love it. It's just cute and sweet and makes me smile. I can't even believe I'm saying this, but Joel, Zoey's new BF is sort of growing on me. Of course if she ended up back with George or Wade, I'd be happy, but Joel's a good guy. He moved to the tiniest town ever just to be with Zoe, ya gotta give the guy credit. He loves her, but I'm guessing that Zoe WILL break his heart at some point soon. Anyway...In Hart of Dixie nobody really gets sick,  so, I never really worried about AB when Zoey felt a lump and sent her for tests. Lemon had what I hope won't be a one night stand with Clay from One Tree Hill and Levon wore the same cool blue and purple shirt with blue pants in this episode as he did in last weeks episode. George and Wade looked hot in their suits for the masquerade ball didn't they?  Is it me or did Scott Porter get a whole new body over the Summer? He's looking really good lately. Did we know that Brick's real name was Bertram? If we did...I totally forgot that. I guess I also forgot that his Mom's a b*ll buster too. Either way, cute episode. 

How I Met Your Mother
O...M...F...G...really? NOTHING HAPPENED! NOTHING. No yellow umbrella, no Mom, no wedding, nothing. It took all episode long and a few "no questions asked" flashbacks for Marshall to just tell Lily the truth about the judgeship. You guys are killing me! NOT COOL

Homeland
Okay, I wouldn't say that Sunday's Homeland was back by any means, but its definitely heading in the right direction. I want to thank the writers for having Saul re-explain where we are at this point since I honestly needed a bit of clarity after last weeks episode. Lately I find myself yelling at Carrie a lot. Take your pills, don't say a word, get back to the yoga studio, you know what I mean. Of course I should have some faith in her, her brilliant yoga ruse did in fact save the annoying Dana Brody from Leo the liar, but to be honest, I wouldn't have minded if Dana disappeared forever. Saul TOTALLY got screwed for the CIA Directors job by Red from The Shawshank Redemption and if he wasn't having a bad enough day, his wife (I think she's still his wife) had another guy at the house while he was getting the passed over. That's gotta suck.  So now Carrie's in the bad guys hands and hopefully, we will see Brody next week, I mean he's only been in 1 episode so far right? This is NUTS! 

News & Information:

-Sunday nights episode of The Walking Dead delivered a 6.8 RA18-49 and 12.9 million viewers .Sure it's down a bit from last weeks 7.1 million but keep in mind it was up against NFL Football AND World Series game 4. So those are still pretty impressive numbers and still put The Walking Dead up there as the number one non sports primetime program.

-Morgan Spurlock's CNN show,The Inside Man, was renewed for a second season. I haven't seen all of them, but the ones I have seen are really good. You can check them out on CNN's App and on their website too.  I loved the education one and the gun one. If you haven't seen any of them, start with those two!

-A lot of people I know love Strike Back. I've never seen it, not sure if it's worth binge viewing or not. The good news is that Strike Back's been renewed for a 4th season. For all of you SB fans...the bad news is the 4th season will be the last season. 

-If you haven't seen any of Sleepy Hollow, now's your chance. You can watch all of the episodes on the FOX NOW app, Fox.com, Hulu and your cable providers FOX On Demand.  The next new episode doesn't air until next week, 11/4 so you can watch the first 5 and be all caught up by next week! 


-Netflix will now have all episodes of Dexter available starting Thursday. The first 4 seasons will be available to watch instantly and then seasons 5-8 will be available January 1st. 

-Not sure if you guys have seen the trailer for HBO's True Detective yet, and I know, I know it's not my favorite genre in the world, but when you watch the trailer you gotta admit it looks pretty amazing, don't you think? Matthew McConaghey, Woody Harrelson, the casting alone is top notch. Now watch this trailer and tell me if you're as intrigued as I am. True Detective doesn't premiere until January 12th, but don't worry, I'll remind you, plus...I have it loaded to the right in the Finales and Premieres list.

-Nielsen announced it will be incorporating audiences viewing TV content on digital devices into traditional TV measurement for the 2014-15 season. Content not eligible for TV ratings will be included in Nielsen digital ratings next year. They also extended their agreement with Screenvision to provide weekly ratings for in theatre audiences. They're pretty busy these days with everything changing so fast aren't they. What I don't get is why it is all so difficult. Why can't they just invent an app in everyone's phones that tell everyone what we are hearing, watching, playing etc.  Privacy shmivacy...the truth is out there! (5 points if you know where that's from)

After that debacle of a Jet game I needed something fun and light and the TLC VH1 movie was just the ticket. It totally messed up my Sunday night viewing, but sometimes you just have to go with it and I did. TLC is still one of the biggest girl groups in the history of music. I thought I knew everything about them, but there was a lot of stuff I didn't know at all. 

1) I had no idea that Pebbles was married to LA Reid and that she was the one who put TLC  together. 

2) I had no idea that Chili got pregnant right before they hit it big and had an abortion. 

3) I knew that T-Boz had Sickel Cell Anemia, but I never realized just how serious the disease was and how it affected the bands touring and her life. 

4) I never realized that Pebbles screwed the girls over so badly financially. 

5) I knew that Lisa/Left Eye was a drinker and was the "Crazy" in the group but I didn't realize that she wrote many of the groups songs

6) I knew that she burned down Andre Rison's house and went to jail

7) I didn't know that Andre dressed like a pimp and wore white fur coats

8) I didn't know that Left Eye died in Honduras, for some reason I thought the car accident was here in the US

9) I knew that Chili had a baby, but I think I forgot that T-Boz had one too. 

The actresses who played the girls were amazing. They looked and spoke exactly like the real women. They spliced in real footage and it was pretty remarkable how close the resemblances were. Good movie VH1! Loved it! 

Revenge

Spoiler Alert! I was pretty tired toward the end of the episode, so lets just skip to the it for a second. Was Charlotte really trying to kill Conrad? That entire scene at the end where Victoria and Charlotte confront him and he forgives her and she says "I love you" was just so ridiculous that I thought maybe it was a dream sequence or something. I feel like I need to re-watch it now. Just when I thought the show had turned itself around and got the storyline back on track, I felt like the acting got a whole lot cheesier. I can't stand that Jack has to carry that baby everywhere he goes. I can't stand Margo from Pan Am and that yellow dress. Since when did Conrad have a garage filled with cars and how in the world did Emily know the code to get in?  How does every guy in the show (except Nolan) have six pack abs and never go to the gym? Especially Jack. He's a single working Dad, where does he have time for crunches and planks? Only Victoria would show up at the pool in a black cocktail dress. Right? Of course we knew that Margo's dad didn't really break his leg. Is there anyone in this show that doesn't have Daddy issues? I  think at this point, my favorite storyline is Patrick and Nolan. Since both of them go both ways, who knows if they are really into each other or not. I actually think that Nolan IS in to Patrick but Patrick will totally use Nolan and I'm still not sure where Aidan's loyalty lies at this point. He's lying to everyone.

Did anyone watch Homeland last night? Please tell me it was decent. I'll watch tonight. 

NEWS & INFORMATION

-Marcia Wallace passed away at the age of 70 over the weekend.  I'm not a big Simpsons person, but I know she was the voice of Bart's 4th grade teacher Mrs. Krabappel. I knew her as Carol on The Bob Newhart Show. RIP Marcia Wallace. 

-A bit more on the Scandal scandal, it turns out the blogger isn't the person we all thought it was,Courtney Pajor, but it is her ex roommate. So not sure where that leaves this story. Is it still considered a scandal then? Not in my book unless this Courtney chick is feeding the ex roommate with info. I'm dropping it...for now.

-Over the weekend, FOX's Dads got picked up for the entire season, Drop Dead Diva was renewed by Lifetime for another season and MTV gave the word that Catfish would be back for season 3. Congrats to all. Gotta admit, I'm sort of surprised about Dads. 

-Comcast is testing out a new offer: Internet Plus which bundles Internet service, broadcast TV, VOD and HBO Go.  The cost...anywhere from 39.99 to 49.99. They're just trialing it, and not going to an a la cart menu...yet, but again. We are only in the beginning of this type of thing. Can't wait to read my own archives in 10 years.  

-News/Pop Culture network Fusion launches tonight. I forgot to look it up on my cable system to see if I have it. Just a reminder, Fusion is a partnership between Disney and Univision and tonight it kicks off with President Obama himself! That's a way to kick off a network.

The Vampire Diaries
Didn't you feel like we got 2 mini Vampire Diaries episodes for the price of one? In part one, Damon and Elena were trying to jog Stefan's memory and rid him of his amnesia. It didn't work on Stefan but it worked on me. I'd forgotten that I liked when Stefan and Elena were together, but just as I found myself psyched for them to kiss, I was equally as happy that Elena stopped the presses and reminded us all that she's with Damon. Great for Elena, great for all of us, not so great for Stefan.  Matt put camera's all over the place to try to figure out what's happening to him and lo and behold there's some Russian dude inside him who might kill him if he doesn't guard a knife. Caroline got Jessie into some trouble, gave him some vampire blood and now I'm not sure what's going to happen to him, but that professor isn't what he claims to be.(they never are).   That's all the stuff that happened before Jeremy (who started off the show with a shirtless workout-thank you writers) told everyone the truth about Bonnie being dead and had the saddest funeral for her in the woods. Luckily for Bonnie, she could attend and deliver some messages to her buds. Gotta admit, I did get a little teary. I felt bad for Matt though. I mean, even though she's dead,  Bonnie had Jeremy.  Tyler showed up for Caroline and Elena had Damon but Matt had nobody except the freaky Russian dude living inside his skin. Pooooor Matt! 

Reign
For someone who has so many enemies, Mary sure spends a ton of time on her own around the castle. If I feared for my life all the time, I'd make sure I was never alone, that way nobody could kill me or poison me or kidnap me ever, but for someone who seems so smart, Mary isn't thinking straight. I'd never leave Francis's side, well maybe to hang out with Sebastian, but Francis has better hair. It's always the Mother-in-Law isn't it? Mary's not even married to Francis and his Mom is her enemy. At least Francis's eyes are wide open on all fronts. He even called his mom out which was cool.  Aside from all that, the King isn't into his wife or his mistress, he now is pretty into one of Mary's hand maidens big time. All of it goes on under one roof. Sure it's a huge roof that covers a million rooms, but I guess the King's ego is as big as the castle. Bummer about Colin. I mean we thought he was beheaded, but he apparently escaped into the woods which turned out to be a bad idea since something in the woods sacrificed him and hung him naked and upside down from a tree. Sucks when beheading would have been a better way to go no?

Scandal
I could write and write and write about Scandal. Damn it's good. REALLY good. It's not Breaking Bad good put it's close to Friday Night Lights good. I know a lot of you watch and a lot of you watch it live, but again I struggle with spoiler alerts and stuff, so stop reading if you haven't seen last nights episode yet. Okay...now, for those of you that did, I don't even know where to begin. Sure the Anthony Weiner senator case was interesting, but didn't you have a feeling it was his wife, Jan from The Office? I did, so that part wasn't as interesting as this whole B613 thing. I think we know now that Operation Remmington involved the President, Jake and Iran and  I'm guessing that something went terribly wrong. Of course too many people are involved. We've got Huck, Jake, Cyrus, Pete Foster,and Olivia's dad.  Huck's still using AA to get it all off his chest, but Quinn wants him to use her instead. Problem is, Huck's right, Quinn is INTERESTED and thinks she wants to be like Huck. Can't she see what has happened to him, what she could turn into? Loved Mellie getting caught spouting insults into a live mic. Love that Lisa Kudrow will probably be in more episodes of the show as the Presidents competition, love James and Cyrus too,  but I love the Fitz/Jake/Olivia triangle more than all of it. I mean we LOOOOOVE Olivia and Fitz right? We love them together, but I also enjoy her with Jake who had the best line of the night about Olivia, "you're the daughter of the man that runs the top secret organization that made your friend kill a man for some reason having to do with your ex boyfriend the president". Right after he said that line, the ex-boyfriend called, and interrupted things. When Fitz realized Olivia had company, he hung up and went to see...dun dun dun...Olivia's dad. O.M.G. Is it next Thursday yet?

-I cannot believe that Conan O'Brien is celebrating 20 years in late night. I remember when he entered the arena and we were all like "WHO???" and of course now it's 20 years later. OMG. Anyway, as part of the celebration, Conan's inviting fans to vote on things like best Conan character, Best Guest,  Best Desk Bit etc. I gotta be honest, I like Conan but I've never really watched his show. For those of you that do...here's the link to vote.

-USA renewed Suits for a 4th season. That's all I got on that one. 

-If you're into marathons, you can catch a Brofest and Girl Code one this weekend on MTV

-Apparently someone feels that Murder She Wrote should be dusted off, cleaned up and remade but this time around it will be Octavia Spencer solving crimes and not Angela Lansbury. First a colorized I Love Lucy and now a new Murder She Wrote. Is it a full moon or something? 

-I'm a huge TiVO person as you guys know. I have the TiVO stream, but I don't have the new Roamio. Maybe Santa will get it for me. The Roamio would allow me to watch live and recorded shows via any wifi connection. That's pretttty cool right?

-Everyone keeps saying that Facebook's over and nobody's using it. Maybe the younger demo isn't, but 64% of adults in the United States are using it regularly and 30% get their news from it. SO it's still a pretty powerful social media platform. Just thought I would mention it. I guess I need to justify my usage and pretend I'm still cool.
